I read the thread title, and assumed this was about a real bear somehow getting released in a hospital/mayhem insued.
Sorta like that, SCoates.
Did you remember to put a chocolate on the pillow for Squinney, Beth?
Here, just in case....
I'm SO glad to hear today was better, sweetie. Give the Bear a big hug from me and tell him I've missed him.
Glad to hear the good news.
Well, doesn't sound bad at all - keeps our mood up.
Again all the very best wishes (now including the nurses as well).
Note the chocolate on the pillow.
Nite Squinney. So glad Bear is better.
Just got up, made myself a cup of coffee and checked in to see the progress.......and it's great to start a day with some good news.
I had to laugh about Bear playing some "Yes" to drown out all the beeping from the monitors. Those bloody things drive most patients mad, and caused me many a sleepless night.
My wife bought me in a miniature radio with earphones, and I used to listen to all the night time "phone in" chat shows. A bit like an audio version of A2K, really. I never realised that there were so many wierd and wonderful people out there, as I listened in to all the funny/sad/strange stories and problems.
Squinney, I'm so pleased that Bear is coming out of his period of hibernation, and hope that he is home soon.
On that note, dont be surprised if Bear has a disrupted sleep pattern for a while. I couldnt sleep for more than two or three hours at a time, for about three weeks when I got home.
Oh, and comfort food.....I had a constant craving for comfort food.
He will also have a slight phobia regarding nurses for a while, oh...and rubber gloves.
I used to avoid the aisle in the Supermarket, that had the rack of Rubber gloves.
Still afraid of the bloody things.
Now, you combine the two.....Nurses WITH rubber gloves, and you have probably about the most frightening thing known to man.
Wish him well for me, and keep taking those deep breaths. Nearly there.
Thay's very good news, squinney. Thanks for the updates.
Good to know that bear is on the mend !!!
Reading here everyday, this is sounding good.
JN
Good news, squinney. Hugs to you each.
Does this mean I can take this sundress off and put on some pants?
:-)
Glad to read that things are turning around.
squinney,
Please don't take this the wrong way, but it sounds like a male nurse is the best thing for your husband. A male nurse would also be sensitive when it comes to removing the urinary catheter.
(Sorry about that last bit of information, if I have offended anyone.)

BumbleBeeBoogie wrote:Squinney, a friend just called me from California. She said she was hospitalized last month for a badly broken wrist and was given Oxycodone for pain. She said it made her hallucinate and act like a crazy women. Within a few hours after the drug was stopped, the symptoms disappeared. She also said her memory of the period she was on the drug was very dim. That also changed after the drug was stopped.
BBB
Sounds like the war on drugs should be pulled back out of Columbia and directed towards the big drug companies eh, BBB?

The sundress vibe is workin' - don't stop now.
Ok, ehBeth. I don't wanna jinx anything now. The dress stays until the bear gets home. Sure hopin that is soon!

Wacha worried about, Intrepid, it's summer now. The breeze must be downright refreshing.
