We do have mint sauce, served with, rather than on our lambies!

But, as Aussies, with a mixed cuisine, my mint sauce has the addition of chili and fish sauce - a little recipe passed on from an Indonesian friend. Sensational - but not compulsory for philistines.

My lamb and mint sauce is legendary, and is regularly requested by all and sundry for Sunday lunch.

Ludelpus- drop by next time you're in town. We do consume a prodigious amount of red wine as well!

Tell me kicky, have the lambs stopped screaming?

mmmmmm...lamb...mmmmmm....indonesian mint sauce....mmmm...
Australian Red Wine, the very bestest wine in all the world.

If I pop by, will you promise that you will provide a never ending supply of either Hardy's, or Wolfblass Shiraz?

In return, you can come round here, get bloated and drunk on much of the same sort of stuff, and kip in the spare room. The dog and cat wont mind sharing.

Elpus

Often prepare this for overseas visitors - I think it's a great Australian meal.

A year or so back, an American I didn't know very well, came to lunch, and I had invited some other friends. Unfortunately, 2 of them had to drop out at the last minute - (and they were the good eaters!) - but I had prepared 2 legs of lamb and bucketloads of roasted vegetables.

This chap was just amazed that I would prepare that much food for only 4 eaters. Mind you - we did make a decent hole in the second leg of lamb, so I was probably right to do that much!

Bloody hospitable, Australians! Smile

Setanta - I'm always cautious of the English, but Elpus has the makings of a cricket tragic - and there's much cricket to be discussed later this year!

Liontamer X - health gradually improving, thank you. Lost my appetite though - bloody bizarre!

And it's neck and neck again...chicken is making a strong run on the outside.

And only a fool would turn their back on a cannibal.

Y'er not calling Me a cow elitist, are you? Certainly you shouldn't, if you are.

Porky is confident and with good reason.
