If Jesus was God he would have lived here on earth with us and brought Heaven to earth making us safe. Instead he died and left us with nothing but a bunch of guys claiming he was God, who died for his sheep because they knew too much.

One can "admit" to being a truant or a criminal. Seldom does one "admit" to being an honor student.

If you want to use "admit" when acknowledging atheism, do so. But I would hope most atheists think more of their personal philosophy.
