If Jesus died to forgive us, then why is there a Hell?

Why?

Other than the fact that you want "something greater out there"....what makes you feel that way?

And why, oh why, would you call the god described in the Bible "something greater?"

Even if it were as apparent as you suppose that there is "something greater out there"....why couldn't it be something very, very, very much different from that cartoon god of the Bible?

So, what, we all just materialized?

The answer to that question, from just about all indications, is: We do not know!

If you are guessing that the only reasonable answer is "Because the god of the Bible made us all!"....you really should back it up.

Care to do so.

Gee Frank, let's see. You want me to explain that obstinate statement to you, but when I ask you what God's name is, you ignore that.

I don't mind a discussion, but, it has to be a fair discussion.

You try to goad others into a "challenge" but ignore their simple question put to you.

What's up with that, Frank?

Best take that plank out of your own eye before you point out the dust in mine.

So, you know more science than English. Ok, that's a given.

Third grade level? Wow! I am learning. I feel I have so much more to learn! I am what you would call a "baby Christian". I have not gotten to the point of being a theologian, as of yet.

Best take the plank our of your rear end before blowing dust.

Are you speaking the King's English, or just the usual schoolyard gibberish?

I think the latter.

Now, that's what I am talking about.

It's ok for you to say I am wrong (mistaken) but God forbid, I should say the same to you?

You know, if your buttons weren't sticking out so far, no one would be able to push them!

Amigo,

I will have to research that one. Freud has never been one of my favorite readings but I am always willing to do a bit of research.

So, Amigo, are you sitting on the fence or have you picked your field?

I have a question.

If someone has never been exposed to the Christian God and/or religion, and therefore never accepts Jesus as his/her savior, but otherwise lives their life in a good and "Christian" way, will they go to heaven or hell?

Sorry Frank. God told Moses what His name was.

Not dodging. I told you, I am not accepting your challenge and I also told you why. Remember that? Now, if I believe Jesus is Lord and Savior and He would not be goaded into a challenge by the devil, and I am trying to follow in Christ's footsteps, why, oh why, would I think I am better than Jesus and accept your challenge?

Kickycan,

Good question! As I understand it, if one has never heard of of God, then no, they will not go to hell. Just as there is standards set forth for those too young to understand. God is not unjust.
