During the my sleep on Monday night - my foot and leg swelled up - my foot the size of a football and well below the knee it's just pretty darn HUGH. Also had my post hospital follow-up visit with my Doc.
"Husker let's keep an evey on this and double you up on the water pills, watch yer fever, elevate the leg, move around just a little - we don't want any blood clots". See you next Monday - but remember I'm one call away."
I would have called him on my cell phone from the waiting room as I was leaving! That doesn't sound right to me. Go to the emergency room if you're not satisfied with this. Don't even hesitate.
Eva - acually it's ok - I have had no fever today and the redness in my leg has went down.
Okay, then I feel better now.
Hope you do, too.
And I REALLY hope it doesn't swell up again tonight.

Is this the doc at the new place? I like him being a phone call away. Use it if stuff starts.
Husker, my sister had recurrent strep infections causing extreme swelling in her legs. She didn't give it it's due and now has chronic swelling. Take your meds, elevate as directed, move around a little (you definately don't want any blood clots) as take it nice and easy. Don't push it, just recover. Sending healing vibes your way.
Husker e-mailed me a while ago. He's been suspended from A2K for something that happened on another thread. I offered to relay messages to him from everyone and keep you informed about him. I know we're all worried.

Well, the moderators don't like to discuss these things y'know, but as far as I can tell, he posted a link to his blog which is apparently a no-no. I'm not a moderator, so I don't know the details.
At any rate, Husker has been very supportive of me in the past when I was going through medical problems, so I figure that relaying his messages while he is sick and needs support is the very least I can do.
Osso, he says the doctor is part of the group of docs that were treating him the last 2 times. That's good, but insurance sucks right now.

Well, if it's the post I'm thinking of, he offered to host A2K bloggers for free, or something along those lines. Not exactly sure if that is the cause of the current problem though....
