According to the supermarket tabloids, Camilla has had a face and neck lift.

Papa's got a brand new slag.

Well then. That's it if the tabloids say so. Journalistic excellence and truth in it's highest form. Laughing

What's that?

I am required to write professionally from time to time, so I keep a lot of reference books. This one has often come in handy.

This is most ungracious. Are you a Martha Stewart supporter?

Hey by the way, name me one person in the public eye in the US over the age of 40 who has not had cosmetic surgery. Okay, Barbara Bush and then...?

You are almost making me feel sorry for the woman. I'm crying double standards, here. You have never had a hairdo? A makeover? Never gone on a slimming diet? Ever wished you could have a nip here, a tuck there? Away and listen to your Cher records.

The ironical thing about this is, Camilla Shand is the least likely of her generation to care much about appearance-as her many photographs show. Why are we all so image-conscious? Do all princesses have to look like something out of Disney, to satisfy the public? Just who do "the public" think they are, if they do expect such a thing?

Yeah. So?

What Cher records?

You've got one out of five.

McTag, have you ever missed the boat on cjhsa's post. Neither he nor I care what Camilla looks like. The post was a delicious pun.

Here in America, James Brown's first general hit was Papa's Got A Brand New Bag. He had many hits on the R & B charts before, but this was the first hit nationally in the general charts. He had many after that, so it became a signature song, one well remembered today by this legendary performer.

Couple that with the earlier debate over the "slag" in the title of this thread, and cjhsa's post was hilarious.

Loosen up, McTag.

I'm relatively loose, I think, and I am aware of James Brown's recording career.

I am just not very amused by anyone calling Camilla, who never did much harm to anyone and keeps a fairly low profile, a slag.

Why is it amusing to pick on her like that?

I think Charles is to blame but any woman that has an affair with a married man is gona be called a name, and slag seems appropriate.

Let him among you who is without sin, cast the first stone. Eh?

In any case it is the tradition in our royal houses, for the Prince of Wales to take a mistress. Don't ask me why.

Fox hunting is a tradition, does that make it acceptable?

I believe it does. I have recently changed my views on this. I believe foxhunting should be allowed to continue. But we digress.

It's OK to call a woman a slag & it's OK for fox hunting to continue? Has someone put something into your water supply in the UK, or something ...? Confused

.. It's just that Prince Charles does appear to have played a large part in the Diana/Camilla thing. I don't hear anyone calling him names like "slag". Is there a derogatory name for what HE has been up to?

And god knows why anyone would support the idea of animals (vermin, even) being hounded to death in such a cruel way.

..um, I'm just bewildered, that's all ... Confused

Sadly the guy in a situation like that is known as a 'stud' because he had 2 women on the go.

Guys are allowed to do things like that and get away with it but thats a whole different thread.

Well I've changed my views after about 40 years on the hunting issue....we could start a new thread on the subject if you wish....but maybe you don't, it's a very emotive issue....I'm sorry to have disappointed you.
