No, those are hexagonal. There are screws with square, er, slots, and drill bits with square, er, butts; the main problem for me has been to find the square bit when I run across one of those.

Certain non rusting fence (and other uses) screws have the square indents.

Home Depot is a fountain of plethora.

Reverse, kicky, has to do with the whatchacallit, ah, drill. Most of them have a reverse...

Reverse threads or reverse heads?

That's a "Security Screw" (or bolt)

You can get screws with reverse threads with almost any head type.

(Why do I know so much about screwing and head? Surprised )

And now, a welcome break from the constant sexual innuendos... (For poor Kicky's sake)

Do you guys think of your first love often? Today an old friend contacted me. (my guy's ex girlfriend) I never told him anything 'cause I always thought he was straight. Turns out he was not, and even though it's been a couple of years I still think of him very much. Now I have conflicting feelings between asking her about him (and possibly opening a can of worms) or leaving things as they are.

Any advice from the all-knowing a2k sages?

PS. I could go on and on and on about how many ways he made me smile, or how beautiful he looked with his crazy hair but I won't, for the sake of you straight guys out there.

Very Happy

I'm not following you...your boyfriend's ex-girlfriend contacted you? Anyway, if you're talking about a guy you found out is gay, and you dig him...why not tell him how you feel?

Considering my first love wasn't until I was in my early 20's, it's only been 3-4 years since I last saw her. Don't think about her a ton, but here and there.

Back to screws. If any of you happen to be walking around with a screw in your pocket, a fun line to say to the opposite sex is to walk up, hold out your hand(with the screw in it), and say "wanna screw?"

Oh, I can see why you would feel a need to contact him. I probably agree with doing that, just to know, but I'd not count on your connection going forward..

Still, it might be good for both of you to talk.

I'm sure it worked out marvelously. Or were you left hanging with a screw in your palm?

I remember having to go to another lab on our research center floor and ask a guy I was crazy about, if he had a screw,...

I think he did have a drawer with various whatsits, including screws. Subtext is all.

Right, the hammer/nail thing. I must have been awfully preoccupied to have been so noncomprendo.
