Mrs. CAV
Tears running down my cheeks as I read of Cav's death. Hard to believe he is gone. But never forgotten and loved by so many people. May your grief be eased by the love we all had for the Cav family.

Send in the Clowns
For the Cav family - I will never see another clown without thinking of Cav:

Send in The Clowns
By Steven sondheim

Isn't it rich, aren't we a pair
Me here at last on the ground - and you in mid-air
Send in the clowns

Isn't it bliss, don't you approve
One who keeps tearing around - and one who can't move
But where are the clowns - send in the clowns

Just when I stopped opening doors
Finally finding the one that I wanted - was yours
Making my entrance again with my usual flair
Sure of my lines - nobody there

Don't you love a farce; my fault I fear
I thought that you'd want what I want - sorry my dear
But where are the clowns - send in the clowns
Don't bother they're here

Isn't it rich, isn't it queer
Losing my timing this late in my career
But where are the clowns - send in the clowns
Well maybe next year

He was a fine mensch. We, and everyone who ever came in contact with him, will sense his absence from this plane with a keen awareness.

Thank you for all of your thoughts, prayers, and warm wishes. Cav knew he had lots of friends out there on these boards, and he knew how you all felt about him. He is in a better place now, where he can be happy and free of all of the illnesses and demons that plagued him.

Yes he is. My prayers are with you, (((( Buttercup )))

Do not stand at my grave and weep,

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die.

pdiddie, that is actually helpful. thanks

I knew some of his personal thoughts more than some of my own friends; he spoke his life creatively in his writings. So very versatile and talented: writer, poet, chef, a comedienne and friend to laugh withÂ…he definitely touched my life. It was a pleasure to have known Cav and I will truly miss him.

I've been away from the computer most of the day, was thinking about Cav a lot. Got to A2K, saw this at the top of new posts, and my heart just sank. Didn't want to open it.

Naomi, thank you so much for being so generous with your time and emotions in keeping us all updated. I hope that you have a support system as strong and capable as you are.

You are of course more than welcome to come back not as a bearer of news but just as your grieving self -- we'd be more than happy to be some small part of that support system.

I'm so very sorry for your loss -- and ours.
