This is rather strange.
I was sorting things out from under my bed, and I came across a piece of paper that had the words
cor de terudi - the heart leads you back, in my writing, in the centre of the page.
I can't for the life of me think when or why, or how I wrote this down. Finding this spooked me somewhat, because for the past few months I've had the thought in my head of past lives, thinking in some deep recess of my being, that I'd been here before...or at least, have a romantic vision of me living some 200 years ago
After trawling through google, I quickly came to the conclusion that the seemingly Latin words do not mean the English quote written with it
I managed to find though, through sheer luck, a website for a school with the quote
Cor te reducit as their motto, which aparently means the aforementioned
the heart leads you back
I was wondering if you would kindly reinforce the schools belief in the translation! I think
cor te reducit has a better ring to it than my words! and I'm very interested in how the hell I managed to write
cor de terudi in the first place, because as far as I can tell, it isn't translatable!
The writing on the page is written in my old style of writing; a style I haven't used for some years now, and I'm still only 19, which makes the whole thing rather bizarre to say the least!
Thankyou in advance.
eta: And like
jmiller_ca, this is for a possible tattoo
I've been thinking of Ms. Jolie the past couple of days. Her romanticism with the latin quote had captured me a few years ago, and have been wanting to have an Angelina inspired motif on my personage
Anyways, the past couple of days, after reading about her life, living in a small English Village a stones throw away from me (well, in the scheme of things, i.e the world, it
is a stones throw away; we're both in England lol) and have day dreamt about meeting her (I have of course, day dreamt about meeting her since I first clapped eyes on her when I was 13 - but now the daydream seemed that little bit more theasible
)
This is the strange bit - I've said for almost as long as I've known of her, that no matter which actress comes along and sparks a poetic passion in me, "I always seem to go back to her". Go back.....seems frightingly similar to the mystery quote lying under my bed, doesn't it?
