George.. you're amazing!

How about this one "Don't give yourself good reasons to make a bad decision"?

Thanks

Aw, shucks!

Noli rationes bonas tibi dare ad sententias malas faciendum

George - thanks. Can it be any shorter? Something like "no good reasons for bad decisions?"

Yup.

Nullae rationes bonae pro sententiis malis

Okay, so I guess George, you are the resident wiz when it comes to Latin... I am currently working on an art piece and I Need the Name of my piece to be in Latin, to deliver the proper effect, please assist me. the title is as follows: "the Rape of Madonna", thank you so much!

By "Madonna" do you mean
Mary (the Biblical figure)
or
a person named Madonna
or
someone you refer to as "my lady"?

Hi George,

Hope you can help. I need to translate these 2 short phrases into latin. They are:

"I am a member"
"I am the holding member"

When in context they're not as dodgy as they initially appear! 'Member' is as in member of a sport club. The 'holding member' is the member who current holder of a cup we compete for.

Many thanks in anticipation,
Jez

The unknown factor

I've been looking around for a good Latin word for "factor" (in the English
sense), but without success. "Factor" is itself a Latin word, but it
means "doer" or "maker" -- not what you want. The closest thing I can
think of would be "causa", which means "cause". Thus "Causa ignota" is
the best I can do.

Sole post cladem resurgere possumus.

NOTE: Since this is for a tattoo, please have someone else review it.
I'm not a professional Latin scholar, just a guy who does this for fun.
