Why I left the Democratic Party

@izzythepush,
I think it's more a cult of personality thing - love the person, adopt their positions. Someone loves Bernie, loves all his positions, the next day, loves Trump, loves all his positions. That those positions are diametrically opposed to those you loved last week doesn't really matter because the love is for the person, not the convictions. That works in reverse as well. Hate the Clintons, hate their positions even though those positions are so similar to those of the guy you loved last week that you have to tilt your head and squint to see any differences to yell about.

@engineer,
Or, approach each issue from your ethical and logical perspective, although I ably see that is wildly unpopular among most people.

I asked Bernie to run before he announced, and I was thrilled when he did. I respect the fact that he was right about almost every position he took back in the days when I thought he was crazy. Time bore him out.

I agree with almost everything he espouses now, but only because I agree. Not because of any ridiculous allegiance. YOU people are the ones who apologize for your candidates or refuse to countenance their crimes on Wikileaks, their millionaire status, ‘earned’ while in ‘public service’.

My eyes are open. I agree with what I think is right—no matter who else agrees with it.

Approaching each issue based on logic and ethics—try it!

@izzythepush,
If Clintons are yesterdays’ news, why do you belch them up?

And, your constant efforts to equate me with murdered people just doesn’t stick. It just informs on you. My views on gun control are likely very similar to those of most people here. Yet you bang on mindlessly.

Compare that to your war criminal Bush whose incompetence allowed 9/11 to happen who embarked on an illegal war in Iraq, killing hundreds of thousands, giving birth to IS and screwing up the ME for at least a generation.

She'll tell you that her judgement was faulty then...but now it's 100% correct...although she thought she was 100% correct when she voted for Bush twice and now in her support of Trump policies and his message...so I guess she's a loony toon?

@engineer,
That's pretty much what I think it is with her too.

She falls for personalities and goes both feet in.

You're the one who needs a bloody gun, only deranged idiots need guns. I'm sorry, but there's not enough guns in the world to make up for what's missing darling.

You're talking like a serf again.

Americans are free people. We don't have guns because we need them. We have guns because we choose to have them.

No it isn't. That's exactly what they are trying to do.

@maporsche,
Just a bit earnest and open to think about new ideas.

I’m proud that I supported gay people and civil rights in high school in the middle of the south in a pretty conservative, rural area, when it was not in my best interests. Because I thought it was right.

I definitely didn’t get everything right. Have you gotten everything right?

My superiority over you is only based on my desire for truth and anti-corruption to prevail and my hopes to create a more even playing field for all people with no qualifiers.

Hah. That was actually a close proximity to the career goal on my teaching resume.

I do my best, and I smile at myself in the mirror. With all the talk I do here, I put my hopes for equality in action every day. It’s small, but it touches someone every day, and that’s a contribution I can live with.

That made me laugh and at the same time feel pity for you that you think in such ways.

@maporsche,
Well, your incessant obsession with me makes it obvious that you feel inferior. I was just pointing out why you feel that way—and that you have the capability to be as cool as me—sort of encouragement for you.

I like to share the wealth. You can do it!

@revelette1,
Haha.

The current narrative widely spewed ad nauseum throughout these pages is I'm a Trump supporter who formulates her political opinions based on crushes on politicians or undercover relationships with Russians.

I'm sure you prefer the assassination of my character to go on unchallenged. On the rare occasions that I add my own facts into the mix, I won't be apologizing for it.

Suck it up.

Sounds like the sort of thing Oralloy would write, that is if I'm not too emotionally overwrought to see things clearly.

I didn't, I responded to your belching, which is incredibly loud and not remotely ladylike btw.

Hey. At least it’s something he can aspire to! What’s so wrong with peace, love, and understanding...with equality and anti-corruption thrown in??

I think he can do it!

@izzythepush,
I see you’ve graduated from the Gasbag School of Archaic Views About Women.

I’m not a lady. I also didn’t bring up the Clintons.

You’re not a very honest person, are you? I think honesty has become passé.

You're the one who brought belching up.

You're completely dishonest, you pretend to be someone you're not which is why you accuse others of the things you do.

You did bring up Clinton, a load of unsubstantiated bollocks about Iran naming people who took bribes. Btw, I don't think that's you being dishonest, just witless.
