I think I'm going to start calling you a Facist from now on, Tico. As Dookie pointed out, Neocon isn't really the right term. You see, I aim to please as well; please myself, that is...

Have a nice day, Facist!

Why are you embarassed of the political term for your parties' leaders, Tico?

It's not as if we made it up. Want me to count how often people say 'liberal?'

Cycloptichorn

Au contraire, Cyclops. Whenever I hear the term I think of a noble and great person. Kind of a superhero .. like a knight in shining armor. "Here comes the great neocon."

I find it absolutely amusing that Dookie -- and you apparently -- think any neocon doesn't like the term. Laughing

On the other hand, you libbies seem to not like the term "liberal" with a passion. So, you'd think we'd use it more often than we do......

I only point it out because it does seem to be Dookies favorite thing to say, and he will interject it into a discussion about food. Shocked Food? Wherever did I do that?

As ALL of us "liberals" are proud to be called liberal, it would seem that once again you have no idea what you're talking about. And it gets even more entertaining to hear the necons use such words as "libbies," DemoRats," "pinko commie," etc. You guys are just so good at it... Rolling Eyes

On the other hand, "fascist" rings rather true in regarding the Bush crime family and the Republican conservatives today, as there seems to now be a vacuum when it comes to "disillusioned liberal intellectuals..."

Ya gotta keep the masses in a persistent state of confused hysteria if you want control.

A conservative activist who criticizes what he calls the leftist domination of college campuses was struck with a pie Wednesday night at Butler University.

David Horowitz, president of the Center for the Study of Popular Culture, had just started a lecture at Butler when he was hit.

Horowitz's supporters followed the assailants out of the hall, and confronted them with what a witness called "pushing and shoving." However, the attackers got away.

"There's a wave of violence on college campuses, committed by what I'd call fascists opposing conservatives," Horowitz said. "It's one step from that to injury."

After the incident, Horowitz completed his lecture.

It was the second time in a week that a conservative lecturer was hit by a pie at an Indiana university. On March 30, William Kristol, editor of The Weekly Standard, was attacked during a speech at Earlham College in Richmond.

Butler spokesman Marc Allan called Wednesday's incident "deplorable."

Deplorable? Hardly. Just kids standing up against the asshats they see around them in a non-violent manner. Kudos to them!

Then, my GOD, why aren't the neocon police going after these liberal terrorists?

Oh, yeah, because they'd look more like the bottom dwelling idiots that they are. Imagine that; a neocon with no sense of humor.

Like Ticomaya...

Um, I know that. None of them ever get caught. What a coincidence!

Like I said, no sense of humor.

Perhaps if Tom DeLay used his Homeland Insecurity measures, he could track down all of these "criminals" who DARE hurl pies at neoconservatives with no sense of humor.

Um, yeah, kinda like 2nd Lt. Steven Hauk in Good Morning Vietnam thinking HE had a sense of humor.

Sure you do, Tico...

I have to ask, why would you think liberals are any more accepting of others beliefs than conservatives? Or perhaps you think that conservatives are so off the wall in acceptance of others that noone else could be as unaccepting.

To the left describes themselves as the party of acceptence and tolerance. They push all sorts of BS accross the board that they make themselves look like saints. When in fact they happen to be the least accepting of those that don't agree with them. The throwing of pies of salad dressing is proof postitive of that. How can the party of tolerence be so intolerent?

The new revolution is coming and it's people like Horowitz and Crystal bringing it on. College students do not like condescension.

So because they don't like the person, the ycan be violent towards them? Isn't that a violation of their civil rights?

A pie in the kisser or on the shirt. Such violence! A criminal act!

Now what if, at Abu Ghraib, those being tortured by US/Brit forces were lined up and had lemon pies thrown at them? That would be really evil, wouldn't it?

And if college campuses are tolerating this sort of thing, neither do they like any opinion other than their own leftish swill aooarently. Would you have been so quick to say 'college students do not like condescension' if it had been Hillary Clinton or Ted Kennedy or Barbara Boxer et al who had been hit by a pie on a college campus, or would you have called it intolerance?

I had a thread going in the philosophy forum a long time ago discussing "Is it intolerance to be intolerant of intolerance?" That concept might be pertinent for this thread as well as it after all is mostly intolerance that gets in the way of diversity of thought just as it is the straw man that most often sidetracks any intelligent discussion.
