Joe, that scene is so familiar....I just can't remember where I saw it, or read it.

I remember an episode of Allie McBeal in which she got dumped. As she sat in a restaurant and saw where the conversation was going, she could hear - but faintly - "sha na na; sha na na". And then louder "hey he-ey go-od bye". The background chorus gets progressively louder. Finally cut to her imagination of a dumpster (with her in it) unloaded into a big truck.

I didn't tell anyone that. I heard it from a friend. It may or may not be from a movie.

It's from Winston Churchill.

"Winston, you are drunk" ~ Lady Astor "Yes my dear, and you are ugly, but, in the morning, I shall be sober" ~Winston Churchill

The worst one is "I don't love you any more, and I don't know why"... and that happened to me too.

M'thinks I'm boring...

for that one person.

They don't teach this in high school, do they?

Osso: you, my dear, are one of the least boring persons I have ever come across. What do you suppose was wrong with him? Do you suppose he ever figured it out?

Boring is sometimes a time of fright.

I don't want to dump on my ex, who is not a dumkopf.
But it is trick for one left to command sense of self.

thank you, J. I sometimes shut off of being the sparky or stolid older one here on a2k.
Batch of tears, wiping away.

Did I mention this earlier? Confused : I know of a couple who separated as a result of "political differences". As he ambitiously climbed the ladder & became a "boss", she steadfastly remained committed to "the workers". And never the twain could meet! Bicker, bicker, bicker .... A pity, it was love's young dream at the start ....
