Winter season does bring about a bit of depression because our exposure to natural sun light is in smaller amounts then normal.
Our bodies require Vitamin D to produce seratonin, Vitamin D ( oh boy do I hope I have the vitamin right heheh ) is mainly aquired through direct exposure to sunlight.
It's partly weather related for me... I need sunlight. But I think the majority of it is that the world we live in sucks and there is no escaping any of it.

yeah, things do suck. I wonder a lot if my husband and i should even bother with kids. I don't want my kids growing up in this **** hole. I mean, 15 years ago we didn't need metal detectors in high schools to keep kids from shooting each other. What's it going to be like in another 15 years!!!??

One thing I've learned from hormones is that biology affects how you view actual gripes. So the same gripe can be there for a while and if all's right biologically it doesn't have too much of an effect -- look at the pretty birdie! -- but if all's NOT right biologically the gripe takes on more importance.

Where've you been, Kristie? I graduated highschool in 1972 in Oklahoma City, at the height of the "forced busing" years. Several students were shot in the halls during school hours. A teacher lost one ear in a knife fight outside the cafeteria. We had armed policemen at every corner in the hallways, and you couldn't go to the restroom without an escort.
Having lived through that, I have no qualms bringing up my child in today's world. It's much safer now.

I guess that age changes perperspective. The older I get the more people I think are dying. But really you just know more people and are more aware i guess.
I also grew up in a small town so....the difference 15 years has made there is staggering.
I just don't see things getting any better. The more I try to stay a responsible adult, contribute to society in a meaningful way, the harder I work to improve myself... the more I get screwed over by government, by dumbasses, by lazy mediocre people with the ability to have things fall in their lap. We live in a society that rewards failing and punishes hard work.
my mom always said if you slack off at work, you get rewarded with less work. If you excel at work, you get rewarded with more work.

I was reading your comments about the weather and was just about to write, "Hey, move to Florida, the weather's great!" Then a lightning strike took out our local power station, and our power was out for about an hour. Really!
Florida is great to visit but I wouldn't want t live there. Too much humidity with that heat. Michigan has a lot of humidity but Florida is worse. Not to mention the hurricane potential and the bugs. And the sunburn. And the old people. Just kidding about the old people. Ok, I'm not but I didn't want to appear too cruel. Aw, who am I kidding? Screw the old people. I'm never getting old.

Michigan - God's Country
Aug 12 - Moved to Michigan. It is so beautiful here. The hills are so serene and beautiful. Can hardly wait to see snow cover them. God's country...I love it here.
Oct 14 - Michigan is the most beautiful place. The leaves are turning all different colors, I love the shades of red and orange. I went for a ride through the beautiful country side and spotted some deer, they are so graceful certainly they are the most peaceful animals on earth. This must be paradise Michigan, I love it here.
Nov 11 - Deer season will start soon. I can't imagine anyone wanting to kill such an elegant creature. The very symbol of peace and tranquillity. Hope it will snow soon...I love it here.
Dec 2 - It snowed last night. Woke up to find everything blanketed in white, it looks like a post card. We went outside and cleaned the snow off of the steps and shoveled the driveway. We had a snowball fight, (I won) and when the snowplow came by, we had to shovel the driveway out again. What a beautiful place. Mother nature in perfect harmony... I love Michigan.
Dec 12 - More snow last night. I love it. The snowplow did his trick again (that rascal). Winter wonderland... I love it here.
Dec 19 - More snow last night. Couldn't get out of the driveway to get to work this time. I'm exhausted from shoveling. F@#$%^& snowplow...
Dec 22 - More of the white s@#$ fell last night. I've got blisters on my hands from all this d@#% shoveling. I think the snow plow man hides around the corner and waits till I'm done shoveling my driveway...a_ _ hole!
Dec 25 - "White Christmas" my busted a@#! More friggin snow. If I ever get my hands on that son-of-a-b@#$% who drives that snow plow, I swear I'll castrate that dumb bastard. Don't know why they don't use more salt on the roads to melt this f@#$%^ ice.
Dec 28 - More white s@#$ fell last night. Been inside since Christmas Day, except for shoveling out the driveway after "Snow Plow Harry" comes by, prick...g_ _-d_ _ _ car is behind a ton of snow. The weatherman said to expect another 10 inches of s@#$ tonight. Do you know how many shovels of snow 10 inches is?
Jan 1 - Happy F@#$%^$ New Year. The weatherman was wrong (again.) We didn't get 10" last night, we got 34", stupid a_ _ weatherman anyway. At this rate it won't melt before the 4th of July. The snow plow got stuck up the road and the s@#$head had the balls to come to the door and asked to borrow my shovel. After I told him I've broken 6 shovels already, shoveling all the sh@# he pushed into my driveway, I broke the last one over his f@#$%$ head.
Jan 4 - Finally got out of the house today. Went to the store to get food, on the way back a g@#d@#$ deer ran in front of me. I hit the bastard and tore my car all to hell. Did $3,000 in damages. Those f@#$%^$ beasts should be killed. Wish the hunters had killed all of them last November.
May 3 - Took the car to the garage in town. Would you believe the thing rotted out from all the f@#$%^$ salt they keep dumping all over the road. Car looks like a piece of s@#$.
May 10 - Moved back to Virginia, I can't imagine why anyone in their right f@#$%^$ mind would ever want to live in this g@#-forsaken place called Michigan.

This is really funny to me because my dad works for the city and they have to plow and people actually accused him of purposely waiting until they had shoveled to come by. And if they really pissed him off....he did.
