Well at least we now know that Chrissee gets her news from the National Inquiror. It's always good to keep abreast of these things.

Quoting Foxfire at the beginning of this thread, "I don't feel like gloating as winning comes with huge responsibilities and we on the winnin team must be ever vigilant to both support our elected leaders--the other side won't--and hold their feet to the fire to get it as right as possible. It's so much easier to be the whining, finger pointing, damning opposition and the left does that so well. They'll have four more years of fun. For us, it will be hard work.

But I am quietly satisfied with the election results. I believe the American people have spoken and I believe they made the right choice for this time."

Still quitely satisfied with the moron, Foxfire?? Can he possibly screw up worse? Dumb question, I know, as king george can always screw up worse than he has done with Katrina, Iraq and everything else he has touched.

What I find amazing is how the Repugs are still trying to cover for and to make excuses for that little Texas worm. But you guys keep on voting to cut your own throats..... they are laughing all the way to the bank.

President Bush: Clinton Weakness Led to 9/11

President Bush fired back at ex-president Clinton on Thursday, saying the weak U.S. response to terrorist attacks that took place mostly during the Clinton administration encouraged al Qaida to launch the 9/11 attacks.

.

Ho ho ho and you are still believing what bu$h says? Perhaps someone should tell bu$hie about the bills that Clinton tried to get through Congress only to have them voted down by the Republicans. He should be reminded that Orin Hatch called the anti-terrorism bills a joke.

Of course maybe that is because Old Hatch knows that 9-11 was an inside job and certainly he knows that how many lies have beent old about Iraq.

By the way, Newsmax is nothing more than a republican version of the Enquirer!

Perhaps you would post a link to your post Kat?

And am I still satisfied with him? I think he has not exercised anywhere near enough leadership in matters of illegal immigration policy or in fiscal accountablility. I think he jumped the gun in a bold promise to rebuild New Orleans.

But otherwise, yes. He has been honest and up front in his words, intentions, and actions and his word is as good as gold.

And given the alternatives we had to vote for, I'd vote for him again in a heartbeat.

So you're blaming Clinton's weak response to terrorism on his watch on Congress?

Ah, I see now where you are coming from. Perhaps you too are in need of an AFDB.

Magginkat has proven over the years that 99% of what she says is a lie.
It is better to just ignore her.

LOL Clinton wasn't weak on terrorism, in fact, he told Bush OBL was his biggest threat. Bush scoffed.

What Clinton did say:

"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line."
President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998.
NOTE: We had UN Inspectors in Iraq to look for WMDs and to destroy them. Bush stopped the inspections to start his war.

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program."
President Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998.
NOTE: We didn't need to "diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program," because there wasn't one.

Our attack of Iraq was premature and uncalled for.
This administration failed to secure the borders and the conventional weapons after major combat operations were over.
There are no WMDs.
We are responsible for 1) killing upwards of 100,000 innocent Iraqis - mostly women and children
2) increasing terrorism around the world
3) creating greater divisions between the Sunnis and Shia
4) creating instability in the Middle East
5) this war has so far cost us over 1,900 of our military and over 200 billion dollars with no end in sight

Bipartisan politics is not a good way to run a country.
Look at Germany. Look at the USA.

Look at the UK; Look at France. While you're at it consider Italy, Spain Netherlands, Denmark, Australia, New Zeland, .... a rather long list

Hard to figure just what alternative McTag may have in mind here. Does he prefer authoritarian states in which dispute and contention is not allowed?

No, but it's amazing how polarised supporters get, even when there is little to choose between the parties.
So much effort is expended in picking over trivia, and in trying to vilify the other side.

McT, "I'm a uniter, not a divider" is the most ridiculous statement by any president. He's accomplished more divisions in this world than any human in the past. We now have the conservative/fundamental christians that divides our country, and I'm afraid that's not going to disappear with the next election. Our country will be forever divided.

The NYTimes is laying off 500 employees.

Which just goes to show that fighting these looney-leftists by hitting them in the wallet is working Smile

I just hope they remember that this slow but sure demise is the harvest from the seeds they've sown through their harbingers of doom ... aka Krugman, Dowd, Rich, etc. (unfortunately these nutjobs will probably be the last to go).

I remind them - by note - every now and then that I would consider renewing my subscription if they'd consider printing all of the good news coming out of Iraq (in the form of Chrenkoff). I'm not holding my breath Smile

In the meantime, 500 layoffs with more to come - good news indeed.
