Liberals just can't stand to lose.

They will be claiming that some were disenfranchised, votes weren't counted or that the balot was misleading.

Remember the Democratic Code...

When you win, crow about it and claim that it is the 'Will of the People'

When you lose, hold your breath, stamp your feet and yell 'NO NO NO' just like any 5 year old who doesn't want to lose.

Sounds like youve got two political camps mirroring each other's style of behaviour there, Fedral.

In Ohio, with 95% reporting:

Bush 2,648,463 51%
Kerry 2,546,176 49%

How is that "too close to call"?

ABC news is saying that they are not calling Ohio for Bush because there is a county with significant Kerry support that had problems and is counting by hand. They won't call it until that county comes in.

I still don't feel good about that, but there is a tiny bit of hope.

Can you say "pregnant, hanging chads"?

Nothing is decided:
Broken machines and a delay in opening absentee ballots will delay Iowa reporting its final count in the presidential election, state election officials said.

Looks like it's over. Congratulations repubs, your man has won again.

The positives for me:

1. Bush will most likely have a much tougher time starting unnecessary wars, thanks to the debacle in Iraq...hopefully.

2. Four more years for the press to expose him as the fraud that he is.

It ain't much, but I can dream, can't I?

It's not over until the last vote is counted!

My American ex-gf, who still lives in town here.

(She used to be on Abuzz too - striking personality - so some people around here still know who she is. Hence me just calling her A. or Anastasia and assuming people know what I'm talking about. Too much explaining otherwise.)

41 pages in one night, ey people?!

What a life.

One comfort: it was one of those moments in time -

and we were there.

Ohio is still up for grabs, so anything can happen.

I have a bad feeling in me waters, Montana - always did.

Man - I hope the US can be more united this time - this has been such a poisonous few years - or it has looked that way from abroad...

Prolly nothing like that in real life - where the political nuts aren't!

Senator Ted Kennedy is meeting with Senator Kerry at 2am this morning.

He is probably going to urge Kerry to concede the election for the good of the country.

He will probably remind Kerry of how Richard Nixon conceded to John Kennedy in their close election and how the respect that Nixon gained in that gentlemanly action eventually resulted in his successful run at the White House years later.

I hear ya dlowan, but I refuse to give up hope. It's close enough where Kerry can still take the victory and I won't give up until that last damn vote is counted. I know this is going to take days and the waiting is going to be the worst. Oh sigh!!! I'm never going to sleep tonight.

Maybe Kerry's showing the voters' the courtesy of ensuring every vote is counted? It sounds like some people waited a long time, then voted quite late.
