NEWSFLASH: Exit Polls Say Kerry & Credit Women

In Florida Kerry is winning among women voters by 52% to 47% and Bush is winning among male voters by 51% to 48%. Because slightly more women than men appear to be voting, 54% to 46% Kerry wins the state by a small nose.

In Ohio the situation is far more straightforward Kerry wins among both men and women voters with 51% and 53% support respectively.

Actually those are very modest gender gaps compared to those of recent elections ... if anything, it says that Bush did better among women (but Kerry better among men?) than how proportions were in previous elections.

Good news from the FL Panhandle
Bush carries Wakula County, 57.4 to 42.7. He expanded his margin there by net 910 votes.

Yep, Obama rocks.

Just checked, still only 25% of precincts reporting for FL -- long ways to go there.

Hopefully, Florida will be a non-factor in this election. If enough of the other key states go in the proper direction and Florida isn't needed to ensure victory, that would be a tremendous relief.

Florida has become too much of a damn nuisance in the electoral process.

Odd. I see NC called for Bush (which I dont doubt), but how tight is it gonna be? 'Ccording to the exit poll data on MSNBC, Bush wins by just 52%/47%. That would be a fairly good result for Kerry/Edwards, I'd say.

I still feel confident that Kerry will take FL. The exit polls favor Kerry. It is just that the actual numbers come in from the Republican precincts first.

Kerry will take Florida.
