CNN has called Florida for Bush. Fox is still exercising "an abundance of caution"...

Some voters have been standing in line for more than nine hours at a polling place in Gambier, Ohio, in Knox County, NBC News reports. In Ohio's Franklin County, the wait reportedly is running into three or four hours.

Such marathon waits, reminiscent of the "stand-on-a-log" endurance test from the "Survivor" reality-TV show, have arisen because of a dearth of voting machines to handle overwhelming turnout. It's this situation that led federal judges to authorize an extension of polling hours and the extraordinary use of supplemental paper ballots, NBC reported.

NINE HOURS!?? Shocked

I just took a comprehensive look at the county breakdown in Wisconsin...

Still up in the air! Mad town hasn't finished weighing in but neither have some very heavy hitting, more productive areas. I wouldn't say it should be pink, but I don't agree with the baby blue either. 15,000 isn't that many.
(still ain't liking it)

Bill - WI is definitely the closest of the remaining states ... 50/49 Kerry/Bush.

IF things continue as they appear to be leaning right now, and that means Bush gets Ohio, Kerry gets Wisconsin, by my mockelection.org map, it appears the electoral votes might end up tied at 269/269, waiting on Alaska and Hawaii!!!????

Isn't this fun?

Edit: Correction .... My map shows Kerry at 265, Bush at 266, waiting on Alaska and Hawaii.

There's a website that's breaking down OH county-by-county, but I'm not that familiar with it either. I played tennis there once LOL...beat 'em, too.

It's beginning to look tough for Kerry.

Judy Woodruff, right after Florida was called for Bush, was making noise about "provisional ballots" so it's still too close to call.

Which gives the impression that they think Ohio is probably going to go for Bush but they don't want to call it yet for technical reasons.

Still, if there are still people waiting in line....

In other words, it looks like Bush might have it unless the Democrats can win some court challenges after the election in Ohio.

Republicans will probably retain control of the House of Representatives and
John Kerry now needs Ohio's 20 electoral votes to be president.
