If Jesus Christ were alive today, would he support the Democratic or Republican party?

@Fil Albuquerque,
Theres something interesting that is missing here.

First of all Jesus wouldn't support a republic democracy. You see a monotheistic god is a monarchy. Essentially people have realize monarchy suck and we can do better. A demicractic republic is definately better but this is a slap in the face of God suggesting there is a better system.

Jesus lived in the time of Emperors and Kings. He would suggest returning to that stupid system.

@Olivier5,
I agree, I also agreed with you that it didn't start with Trump. My point was that his unpredictable behavior adds a factor to that agenda. In other words, Pence would almost be a worse president as he is not likely to cause bad press of his own making and so would be able to carry out the same agenda more smoothly.

@Krumple,
That is not true, in the biblical account, Jesus said (words to this effect) if someone tells you the kingdom is over here or over there, don't believe them. The kingdom is inside of you. (LK 17:21)

Then tear down every church. Pointless wasted space if the kingdom is inside you.

@Krumple,
You'll have to forgive me, I am a preachers daughter who actually liked to pay attention..

Anyway, the kingdom is the members of the church, the church is the rock or foundation of where members come together to assemble to worship God (take the Lords supper sing...). It doesn't have to be in a building. So even if they are all torn down, people can still come together to worship. (all found in various parts of Acts)

Oh c'mon! This agan?

If you are a Christian, don't presume to know the mind of God.

If you are not, what we are told of Jesus is that he was apolitical. So don't presume to know the mind of an apolitical wiseman for your silly partisan reasons.

Pronouncements like "He was clearly a Socialist!" are pure shite.

Stop it!

They are kind of stupid given the centuries difference but if you look at his supposed teachings, and going only on that basis, he definitely leaned the modern left.

Yes. Mussolini was el Duce; Trump is the Douche. A sort of incompetent fascist.

@Finn dAbuzz,
It is what he plans to do to Muslims, for no good or logical reason.

Be nice, Finn.

That "Frenchie" is the only one defending the cockamamie US government official conspiracy theory.

@Finn dAbuzz,
It is not a Frenchie mania, the whole Europe has goosebumps just by talking bout Trump. Seriously how the **** did he got the job? No matter how alienated and despaired deep America is, I still don't get it...I would vote for a real parrot in his place for fracks sake! How hard is that choice when it comes to anything vs Trump the pussy grabber ???...

@Finn dAbuzz,
I don't think anyone here has presumed to know "the mind of God." You seem a bit unhinged, trying to tell people on the internet what they can't say.

For my part, I'm using the life and words of the man called Jesus in the Bible as evidence for my claim. Why don't you do the same?

I don't know where you're from Fil but if it's from here in America, you are horribly uneducated. If you're from somewhere outside of America than you're not quite as sophisticated and cosmopolitan as you would like us all to believe.

Just Google American electoral process for Chrissake, and then try and understand (as difficult as this may be for you) that the rest of the world doesn't necessarily think you got it all going on.

You're clearly the personification of elite pseudo-intellectualism that led to his getting elected.

Where are you from BTW?

Let's compare your elected leader to a parrot.

@Lash,
Don't be ridiculous.

Talk to a Christian theologian and he or she will also tell you not to presume to know the mind of God.

If the Bible tells us anything about Jesus it is that he was apolitical. Do you really want to argue otherwise?

You are projecting your politics onto him.

@Finn dAbuzz,
Refute the information I cited from the Bible. You are merely projecting your politics onto him.

He called out the establishment. He could talk to people from all walks of life. He led a peoples' revolution. He broke laws for righteousness' sake.

Argue your disagreement citing the Bible.

@Finn dAbuzz,
Btw, I don't think the Jesus of the Bible would place any value in the pontification of a so-called Christian theologian--based on what he said during his life.
