@margo,
brilliant!

(you've already liked the first amateur pic on FB Smile )

there was an audience participation component to our set which people loved. Then when we went back into our formation for our BIG group piece, people leapt up and clapped along. I, of course, grinned like an absolute fool at that point.

You'd have had fun - and known about half of the dancers and some of the audience. You're one of our dance community now.

I picked up a hoe yesterday, quite old but very cheap, just £1. Well up to the job though and I made a good job of clearing the weeds off my broccoli.

@izzythepush,
Had a family cook out Sunday, our son, , daughter-in-law, grand daughter and solid friend of my son since high school all were together for an early Memorial Day festivus for the rest of us.

Met one of the North Korean refugees today. Taught her how to fist bump. That made me smile, and her, too.

@FBM,
The end was a bit rusty, but it still did the job alright.

@izzythepush,
They're quite functional long after they've lost their sheen.

@FBM,
The older ones are better, they were built to last. The last one I had had a toughened plastic blade, lasted about 18 months and cost a lot more than a quid.

@izzythepush,
Planned obsolescence meets hoes. Sad day in history, I say.

@FBM,
We will always need hoes, it beats bending down yourself.

@izzythepush,
Try as I might, I could never reach. Should've started flexibility training earlier, I suppose. As a result, I always had unscheduled appearances in my patch. Hoes are a boon to mankind.

@FBM,
You can always get down on your knees. You'll have to if you want a close look at my broccoli, it's not very big right now, but I've managed to keep the slugs off it.

@izzythepush,
No offense intended, but I'd be more satisfied with a snapshot of the hoe at this point.

Having worked several years in a produce department, I can tell you that if you keep your broccoli wet and in a bag for too long, it's going to smell terrible. Best to keep it firm and deal with it quickly before it becomes limp and utterly useless. And one should have a look in the mirror after eating broccoli; it can leave little bits in the teeth

@thack45,
Indeed. It should make a low-pitched sound when you thump it. The higher the pitch, the less firm it is. Or maybe the other way 'round. I forget these days.

@thack45,
Shelley Berman would agree with you, except in his case, it was spinach.

You can't have one without the other.
