Yesterday morning, just after midnight, I woke up to a most delicious scent. Once awoken, I realized it was rain, pouring onto the hot asphalt of our parking lot outside. If only we could concentrate this scent, bottle it, and make it into a perfume! I could fall for a woman just for wearing it.

Shopping at the supermarket and ran into a big guy with tattoos and long, full hair. I told him that I really liked long hair on guys, and his girlfriend said, "He's a rock star." Wow!, I replied. Can I have your autograph? His reply was, "I don't want my own autograph." It was a fun chat after that.

and that made me smile.

~~~
it was a great morning for a Canada Day picnic breakfast down at the beach. Set took the dogs down to the off-leash area while I settled onto the park bench with my tea and a book. All was peaceful. Then - a flash from the left - a small blonde dog flying toward me. Bailey had escaped from the off-leash and was heading back to me and the sandwich bag. A minute later the couple at the next bench were laughing and laughing - Bailey had not just jumped onto the bench, he'd settled down on the pillow I'd brought. Had to smile - doesn't every dog call dibs on the pillow?
@Rockhead,
Kitty curled up in a ball on her favorite pillow when I woke up.
Bright sunshine in Boston for the first time in a month (literally).
Unloading some old furniture on Craigslist.
Coming here and realizing that this question is still alive and kicking lets me know that all is right with the world...This is the biggest smile of all.
@nimh,
I'm well... Trying to start an Ibusiness... working on my website
I've spent the entire morning waiting for a plumber. He was supposed to be here at 8 a.m. It's now 11:30.....I don't think he's coming.... ;o) I'd call him but I don't have his number and my property manager, who set up the appointment, is on her first day of vacation, so I don't want to call her. It's a minor thing anyhow, so it can wait until she returns....It's possible the plumber got his Mondays mixed up...... Why does this make me smile? Because I was kind of hoping he wouldn't show up so I could accomplish what I did this morning, grab some lunch (I'm thinking sushi), and hang out on the back porch to enjoy the rest of this absolutely beautiful day.
