Who won what?

No idea what you're talking about.

Daaaaaa Pats.

What else...I just emailed a girl on match.com, I have to say it was a pretty hilarious message. She'll either laugh her ass off or think I'm a retard.

Most think the latter.

Um, your judgement might be a little off right now. But, if she thinks you're a jerk, good riddance.

No, it was funny, not jerk-like.

I swear on my child's eyes, I'm not drunk anymore.

Can I shoot your cat?

How could I have not come up with that? Does Mexico have anything to do with cat shooting? I know the cat juggle, but do they shoot too?

mexican cat juggling is strictly a rumor, first perpetrated by steve martin in the late 70's...

I was playing with you. But you knew that. The cat juggle?

They shoot cats in Mexico all the time. There's a reason "authentic" burritos are so damn good.

The one thing I don't like about real Mexican burritos is coughing on them damn fur balls.

I'm in the mood for Anna's Taqueria all of a sudden.

When I left Brazil I took my hard drive with me and just today I got around to accessing it.

It's like a time capsule, looking at my temporary internet files from a few years ago and remembering the very day I saw those pages and files (e.g. some of y'all's first avatars)....

....looking at the very first version of able2know's code and my complete ineptness with php....

....finding one of my first animated gifs again (the one with the wobbly tounge).....

But best of all, I recovered a lot of my favorite music!

I read half a book of Calvin and Hobbes cartoons to my niece. And, she had already absorbed the whole book. She knew what was coming before I turned the page.....

And, then we made our own comic strips. I made one with two mosses having a picnic.

She made one with 2 cats. One cat played music for the other and they talked about how they liked the music. The last segment had one cat leaving the other saying, "See you tomorrow, I have some cat litter to do." <chuckle!>

And, my nephew is now kissing things (he's just over 13 months). His favorite thing to kiss is his sister (5 years). But, he also touched his finger to my dog's nose and made a kissy noise at the same time. He was very proud of himself.

I've been meaning to post about a drive I made last week from Denver to Albuquerque. Thre road goes ove a pass through the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Some of it is winding with steep cliffs off to the side, but most of it is high plains with mountain peaks far in the distance.

This view as I drive through on the way home makes my heart soar, I feel an enormous sense of freedom watching the huge sky and endless prairie. There are moments, however, when I wonder how I would suvive in this lonely land where blizzards come blasting through leaving mountains of snow. Could I stand to be snowed in for several days at a time? Would the silence that I love when I get out of the car to better appreciate the beauty become the road to insanity after hearing nothing but silence or wind day after day?

Albuquerque is home, almost as high, around 1.000 ft lower than the pass at approx. 5,000ft elevation, but it is safe, with neighborhoods, schools, shopping, doctors, grocery stores that stock all sorts of different pestos and pastas, even caviar. It has its own beauty, but not that endless, wild beauty found in the high plains.
