Piffka's red capped boulder thingy makes me smile each time I see it.

We have a full-sized Chevy van that we use to move merchandise around amongst my stores. There's a metal grate separating the driving compartment from the cargo area. There is a door but one of my employees had loaded in perhaps twenty boxes (perhaps a 1000 pounds) against the grate. The only other access to the cargo area is through the rear doors. I got in through the back to add something to the stack and the door blew shut behind me. Evidentally we had never disabled the "safety feature" that would prevent children (or anyone else) from opening the door from the inside. I was trapped. Unless I wanted to move all of the stuff.
I was in there for about 10 minutes One pedestrian walked by the back of the van, perhaps two feet away. An older lady, perhaps my age. She didn't miss a beat in her walking when I banged on the rear window and shouted "Excuse me." I may be wrong but I really think she did see me.

I KNOW!!! I couldn't figure out what to call it when it first showed up last week but that's exactly what it looks like, isn't it??!

Yep, I told ye it'd be back.

Only now maybe it should be: 'The Old Desert Rat!'

I've been stayin' at L-A-U-G-H-L-I-N since 11/28. Checking out five acres of the great gravel pit* called called Arizona, that my late mother owned. Lots to tell you all about it when i get back.

Laughlin is only 20 mi. from Kingman Arizona (actually, 'Golden Valley' Arizona) where the property is, but my brother jack and i are staying in a casino hotel here in Laughlin for the fun of it (and the cheap room rates)

The work part of viewing the property, talking to realtors and appraisers etc is now largely done so it's fun time.

Indeed we ARE laughin' a lot, and we are having fun!
