That must be difficult, Joahaeyo. When you go to Colorado, you'll probably want to stay in after sunset. It gets chilly in the mountains every night, even in summer. The days are warm enough, though.
It makes me smile AGAIN, reading Eva's sig line quote.
sigh
Hooray to misti - and congrats to the U.S.A. for grabbing her up!
You KNOW you're a good catch, misti!
the thought of 82F temps at night does NOT make me smile.
I like the cold, misti - well, until it gets to minus 40
but that doesn't mean I don't want to see you. I keep an eye on the Florida thread - just in case a get-together breaks out spontaneously

exactly what i hate tx weather. i know there are worse places or cities in tx to live in, but i hope the next place we live isn't this sticky.
houston tx was named #1 for stinkiest places to live.
I visited Houston this year for the first time. It was just TOO hot to be outside. And too flat. No trees, no hills, just flat. Didn't care for it at all.
Yikes - that is so NOT smile-worthy. Sounds downright ugly.
yep, yep.
I'm praying I don't get stuck there, but if the FI gets out of the military, it may be where jobs lead him. sticky icky always flooding Houston.
I don't live in Houston. I go to school an hour away in College Station (as if that makes a difference).
Joaehaeyo, what is your definition of 'cold'? You said Belgium was cold, but I disagree (the Netherlands is colder  ).
I'm in Amsterdam for a week or two, staying at a colleague's house. I hadnt realised yesterday was the Gay Parade until, winding my way across town on my rented bicycle, I kept crossing into the throngs of people by the canals the floats would pass by through. I didnt really need to see it again myself - went to see it last year. Caught just a few glimpses between having a sandwich here and buying some soap there.
By the end of the afternoon, I'd cycled down Java Island (architectural fairytaletown or spoiled yuppie's nest?), and was crossing the bridge into town again. While I stopped to make a picture, a little blond, healthy Dutch boy came cycling past on his children's bicycle with his happy, blond father, who winked as they passed by having this conversation:
"Die mannen waren wel heel gek, he?" (Those men were sure pretty strange, hey?)
"Yes ..." (the kid nodding)
"And did you see those Indians, too?"
Oh, I also met an ex-colleague up there; she apparently lives there (hey, it turns out there's council housing up there too). Told me her boss had been trying to reach me; wanted me to give a presentation/briefing of sorts at a TV festival in Berlin in autumn, for/with east-european programme makers. Whoo.
I aint much one for speaking in public and stuff - too shy. But hey, its interesting tho. And I should be reaching out, what with my job situation and all. And the sun was shining and I felt nice, so I was like - sure, yeah, sounds great! Eh...arrem, heh.
Rick d'Israeli, cold is when I would open the door as a child and not be able to get out b/c the snow was taller than me. Mind you, I was the tallest kindergarten student in Shape, Belgium.
presently 6'
korea was much colder than belgium. you've got the wind to contend with there.
Anyone ever been to Sask. You ain't felt cold untill you spend a winter here!
goodness.
him: you're forbidden to wear heels.
me: haha
him: you'd look sexy in those boots that go right below your knee or above it.
me: they only come in heels; you should have drank your milk
Why do I suddenly feel short?
Haven't been to Sask, but Melbourne winters are cold enough for me!
P.S. I love my heels!
