Chatting with husker made me smile tonight. What a lovely, sweet man he is. Mrs. husker is a lucky woman!

I almost forgot yesterday's really big smile: My boss won a regional award which came with a small bonus. To congratulate her I made an exceptionally tacky sign and stuck it to her office door. The awards luncheon took place yesterday afternoon; she won the drawing for a trip. Anyhow, as she was headed out last night somebody commented on the sign on her door. She said, "of all the things I've won this week, that's the best because one of my managers made it for me." Sometimes it's just good to know that you made someone else smile.

This morning's smile: trying to type this as a cute little kitty is trying to hug my fingers......<grin>

One of the paths I walk along on my way to work is overgrown with cherry trees, which are presently in bloom. It rained last night, and whenever it rains the blossoms collect the water and the accumulated weight causes the branches to sag. This morning the blossoms are so large and so full of water that many of the branches were hanging over the path as low as my waist so I had to weave my way in and out of these fat, dripping pink flowers -- like walking through and arbor of hanging beflowered tentacles. Very nice.

I tried to relate this to an early-arriving professor, but I'm not sure he got what I was trying to describe. Hmmmmm.......

Pdog

You paint a very pretty picture. . . a nice way to approach work . . .infinitely better than spending an hour in fuming, 'creep and beep' traffic - as many commuters do.

Lovely indeed.

This probably shouldn't have made me smile, but it did. The sozlet is nearing completion of toilet training, and really doesn't like the whole diaper process. She was complaining and whining as I finished changing her diaper, including theatrical sobs. I asked her if she wanted a new clean diaper or a bare naked baby butt. Between sobs she said, "Bare *sob* naked *sob* bay-hay-bee *sob* butt!!".

Maybe I'm just a mean evil twisted person, but I couldn't stop laughing. Twisted Evil

How about someone else's pets? My upstairs neighbor's little kitty is currently lazing in the sun on the back porch that we share. Every once in a while a bird flies by and Guinness lifts a paw as if to stop it then goes back to his nap.

Meanwhile, my little Murray watches him from the kitchen window. I think Murray's jealous.

Wouldn't it be great to live the life of Terry or Murray? Such uncomplicated pleasures! <sigh> Smile

Yeah, all pets, all the time.

My Bootsie and my parents' Iris have traditionally not gotten along. They're more tolerant of each other now, but not entirely comfy. At breakfast, Iris carried each of her several toys under my father's chair. Since he wasn't protecting them from Bootsie sufficiently, she dragged them all to another spot.
