Oh wow, soz. That gave me chill bumps. What a beautiful gift. And giver.

I hope you will wear them for her. You will, won't you?

Geez, if I were there right now, I'd kiss her myself!

I said, yep, it's a beautiful necklace you have there sweetie, and she said, "It's not my necklace... I bought it for YOU!"

What a nice story, and it's STILL making people smile! (like me)

--I just read it and I'm grinning from ear to ear. Very Happy

P.S. Please disregard the new signature line. It's just a coincidence. (the truth)

I am so brain dead by the end of the day that I inadvertently say the f word on CBC radio. There is a shocked reaction from the control booth and some people hold their hands over their mouths and others put their thumbs up in glee. Ooops. Avril Benoit takes it in her stride and skips straight along. She gives good interview. On CFRB (no I don't know what it means either) John Moore permits only one question from a listener. He has asked his producer to carefully screen all calls from gushing over-eager fans, but this man calls in and goes on and on about how much he loves Monty Python, and how many Pythons things he has bought. He just spends hours watching Monty Python, he says, while spanking the monkey! I don't even have the good taste to let it go. "Spanking the monkey" I say "did he just say spanking the monkey? What kind of freak watches Monty Python while beating a chimp?" The host cuts quickly to the news and the newsreader says, I swear, "Welcome to the spanking news!"

soz...sweet story. I don't know when my birdsday is but my birthday is Monday. Nice of the US to make it a national holiday. I'm told that last year, owing to it being a leap-year, my birthday also fell on Memorial day. I can't remember back that far. My employees are young and as disinclined towards sentimentality as I am but the ones that were there were there and the ones that were off today all managed to find an excuse to drop by at noon, even though it wasn't a pay day. They brought out a cake from the best bakery in town with the frosting inscription reading "John Kicks Ass."

Great story Soz and the Sozlet what a wonderful child. It is heart warming isn't it and makes all the other child raising tasks that are not quite joyous just melt away.

Congrtulations Algis and we will talk on Sunday.

Betheh how fun for you and the dogs. Glad you made it there and back and had a good time with your honey.

Misti love the picture.

I smiled through all the posts and came here to say that I smiled because today was a good day for me just one of those ordinary days but felt well and happy all day long. And I got a ton of stuff I needed to get done - done.

Just went into my bedroom for a moment - it MUST be cold, because the cats are still in bed. Found them scrooged down under my folded back doona - only Oscar's head peeping out, Miranda really totally covered, but in each other's arms - got the dearest little "pirrups" and a smile from each - followed by a luxurious stretch from both, and little settling movements as they prepared themselves for some more heavy duty sleeping.
