Oh wow, soz. That gave me chill bumps. What a beautiful gift. And giver.
I hope you will wear them for her. You will, won't you?
Geez, if I were there right now, I'd kiss her myself!

I said, yep, it's a beautiful necklace you have there sweetie, and she said, "It's not my necklace... I bought it for YOU!"
What a nice story, and it's STILL making people smile! (like me)
--I just read it and I'm grinning from ear to ear.
P.S. Please disregard the new signature line. It's just a coincidence. (the truth)
Oh soz- What a joy! I'll bet that that story is one that will be told for years to come.
Hey my birdsday is at the end of June because that was my mothers nickname.
they also called me lilac becauce i lied like crasy.
soz...sweet story. I don't know when my birdsday is but my birthday is Monday. Nice of the US to make it a national holiday. I'm told that last year, owing to it being a leap-year, my birthday also fell on Memorial day. I can't remember back that far. My employees are young and as disinclined towards sentimentality as I am but the ones that were there were there and the ones that were off today all managed to find an excuse to drop by at noon, even though it wasn't a pay day. They brought out a cake from the best bakery in town with the frosting inscription reading "John Kicks Ass."
soz's is such a cute story ... those stories are always really - moving ... <nods, sadly kinda>
long story ... something to do with a feeling of loss (tugging at your heart) - and a surge of ... pity (same). complicated.
Ah yeah, I think I understand. Maybe.

Great story Soz and the Sozlet what a wonderful child. It is heart warming isn't it and makes all the other child raising tasks that are not quite joyous just melt away.
Congrtulations Algis and we will talk on Sunday.
Betheh how fun for you and the dogs. Glad you made it there and back and had a good time with your honey.
Misti love the picture.
I smiled through all the posts and came here to say that I smiled because today was a good day for me just one of those ordinary days but felt well and happy all day long. And I got a ton of stuff I needed to get done - done.
errrrr, Algis, what is MIFF?
it's not what i guessed it might be (since that doesn't happen in july)
congrats - but what ..... some kinda film festival but where!?
Just went into my bedroom for a moment - it MUST be cold, because the cats are still in bed. Found them scrooged down under my folded back doona - only Oscar's head peeping out, Miranda really totally covered, but in each other's arms - got the dearest little "pirrups" and a smile from each - followed by a luxurious stretch from both, and little settling movements as they prepared themselves for some more heavy duty sleeping.
I love those little settling movements.....
Very well worded, Dlowan. I almost felt as if I were there.
I smiled when I seen my new born neice today....awww
