So glad that there are some encouraging signs with your son, Letty.

And you must've been through quite an (adventure? experience?), marycat. Hope your homecoming is comforting.

If I had my way, Beth and nimh, that's the way the philosophy threads would go. Razz

Greek man stirs up trouble.

People don't like it.

Man drinks poison.

Man dies.

"Gosh all hemlock", says Plato in apology."That's 'plutonic'."

I was sporting an 'oh my, what was i thinking smile' a little while ago.

Went out with the dogs to do some errands and go for a romp by the ravine.

Got back into the house - and AAAAAAAAAAArgHHHHHHHHHHH!

Cleo was sporting a purple bandanna to go with her purple collar. She also had on a lovely lilac vest (toddlers size 2T).

Bailey had a green bandanna, green tartan collar, and green vest (toddlers 18M).

... and me? why i was wearing red/black swirly pants, a giant red sweatshirt, a red poorboy cap AND a red bandanna.

We must have looked like escapees from Fisher-Priceland Rolling Eyes

I smile everyday when I pet my cat, waffles.

Its impossible not to smile when your petting a long haired cat. Absolutly impossible

Seeing "Lost in translation" made me smile a lot, be it sadly, sometimes.

Oh, and at perhaps the most moving moment, the soundtrack was Just like Honey, Jesus and Marcy Chain. Jesus and Mary Chain! I couldnt help noticing that, in between or through being moved, I mean ... its not that I had forgotten about the Jesus and Marcy Chain, its that I had forgotten the Jesus and Marcy Chain. <wonder>

Margo , talking of cricket, as you occasionaly do, did you notice how we Poms overwhelmed the Windies. That game was on a par with India vs Pakistan.

How's your gammy knee these days ?

Finding TerryDoo is making me smile right now! I've decided to leave Texas and come home, and that is also making me smile, but also causing a great deal of stress in the logistics department.

Will you take George W with you, please Rolling Eyes

John, I'm afraid that, sadly, just about anyone can wallop the Windies these days - probably even Bangladesh. But G was sure excited about India and Pakistan! India sure gave the Aussies a run for their money - it's the closest competition we've had in years.

Knee is just average thanks - it's not likely to get any better, though! Sad I'm taking Noddy's advice and holding my dominion!

Yesterday when I had gone to the airport to pick up my folks, a woman walked out with her daughter who must be abt 5, meeting her was (I think) her husband and son (3-4 yrs old). The children ran towards each other and hugged tightly while the parents looked on and smiled - it was such a beautiful sight.

Today morning when I picked up the news paper, I unconsiously gave it to my dad to read it first - made me smile afterwards, somethings never change Smile

Yesterday, on the train, this guy was humming or exercising his vocals. I am guessing he was a music student since he had some sort of large instrument in a case with him. He had headphones on and was making this monotonous noise which was low but like an irritating buzz in your ear. It took me ages to figure out where the noise was coming from. I thought it was a kid and then when I realized it was this guy a few seats away from me I thought he might be retarded and unaware of the irritation he was causing. I put on my own headphones but couldn't drown out the noise - it was starting to drive me nuts - like a dripping tap. I was about to get up and get off the train when a woman sitting across from him suddenly yelled "STOP!" She proceeded to berate him for annoying everyone on the train and told him to shut up. The guy was apologetic but not embarrassed which makes me think he has done this before and waits to see when people will stop being polite, ignoring him, and finally say something. I still can't quite believe we put up with it for over half an hour. Even the driver (he sat about two feet away from the driver) clapped when the woman yelled at him. That entire section of the train just burst out laughing and I'm smiling now just thinking about it.
