Um, it wasn't 200,000 who signed the petition. It was 200. I wish neoconservatives would get their damn facts straight.

I agree with FreeDuck that the lashing out by those deadset on their political views IS exhausting. In the final waning days of this most historic election, with so much at stake, both sides will take this right down to the wire.

Expect long and hard fought out court battles to somehow determine who our next President will be.

Freeduck, I skip over arguments I'm sick of too... I also skip over posts from posters I'm sick of... as I'm sure others do mine. I've never argued on behalf of the SBVFTs either. I do argue that they, as Veterans themselves, have at least as much right as anyone to their opinions... just as Xena has a right to hers. I wasn't defending Xena's position, I was defending her right to share it… not unlike you just did and Panz started to do earlier. The more unpopular an opinion is, the better its broadcast exemplifies that which makes this country great. To a certain extent, that holds true for A2K as well.

Kerry has allowed media access to all his files. The right-wing liars keep harping about this but no one cares except the Busheeple.

Harper... that isnt true at all. He will not release those files period. But if you have a source that has his entire 201 file that was released... please give it to me Id be willing to take a look at it....because I know you wont be able to back up what you just posted...

Bush voters are largely misinformed as they constantly watch and read right-wing propaganda and beleive it. It is frightening to think that a disaster like Bush can atract this much support.

Im independent... dont listen to rush and friends. And look at many forms of media to include the lefts views... dont kid yourself they are all a bunch of liars...You lump people in groups now instead of as individuals.. the same can be said for you just listening to the lefts propoganda....

Hey Armyvet35--Read this statement and then you can understand why some question Xena's connection to reality...5 1/2 years this man spent in a Vietnam POW camp and now he's using it as a bid to be President? She has no shame....and i have NO RESPECT for anything she says...and to support this kind of BS...All decent Americans should be aghast at this statement.

I must admit will I do not agree with that totally. But then again I havent ever been a fan of McCain... hes a bit too wishy washy for me...

Bill, those 200,000 are the swift boat veterans for truth. Since we've been round and round about their accusations and connections to the Republican campaign, I think most are tired of challenging that. Hence it gets ignored.

Free thats not true actually, didnt know swift boats had one as well... can you provide a link to that... would love to sign it as well Smile

I wasnt talking about anything on the net... over 200 wives at posts across america got together and did the petition, and had help with our VFW groups... had nothing to do with swiftboat vets at all

Lol dookie Im an independent registered voter... I alone got over 10,000 signatures here at Fort campbell for the petition. Why are you assuming we are the swift boat vets.. 50 of us went door to door here as well as at other posts across the nation...We want to know the truth

We also threw one of the biggest support the troops and president rallies in the country and CNN gave us a whopping 30 sec air of time... go figure...

Agree, O'Bill. I responded to your post only because you seemed like the only level-headed person around at the time.

I'd love a link to your petition, as well, as I hadn't heard of that. What I know about Kerry's records are that the ones most people would be interested in are on his website. There's a group of veterans who established a group for the sole reason of bringing him down with regard to his service. Most of their accusations fly in the face of the official records that are available, and only one of them actually served anywhere near him. In my opinion, he should not have to release anything else to satisfy accusers who have already shown they are not credible, and who's biggest beef with Kerry is not his service but his protests.

The whole attack on Kerry's service was initiated by the Republican campaign in order to keep him talking about this and not other issues. The fact that he refuses to engage them, to me, is an example of his superb judgment.

Duck...you aced this one!

The attack on Kerry's service will go down in history as one of the lowest points in any campaign (if not THE lowest point)...and I think after a shaky start, Kerry came to realize the best way to handle it is by refusing to be further drawn into it.

Good for him.

Kerry is without a doubt a much, much better choice for president than Bush.

Kerry is a much better choice in this election...it amazes me that

Kerry's campaign brought this up. Kerry was a war hero. Bush was not. Kerry knows war, Bush does not. They did this so Kerry would win the presidency.

Problem is it backfired on them. People wanted to know more about Kerry's past than he wanted to share past his talking points.

Now they just want to forget they brought it up. Pretend it doesn't matter, but it does. If Kerry is reporting for duty, I want to know ALL about him and what it is he is bringing with him on his tour.

To say this is just more Republican attacks is disingenuous. Kerry's campaign brought this into the mix, and now wish they never did.

Kerry's campaign is not nearly as worried about it as you are, McG. You're grasping at straws and ought to start looking at who you'll be putting up in 2008.

Rudi is only 2 to 1 at the Casino making him the odds on favorite by far... By the way Piffka, you have to put up 2 to get 1 if you want Bush in this election.

Picking George W. Bush over John Kerry is a sign of a sever mental illness (IMO). Plain and simple.

Crappy options? Than offer a write-in candidate.
