Oh my god.

I am going to start with an incredibly UNPOPULAR statement and in all fairness take every bit of bashig that will come to me for this.
Please do understand I am not attacking a single 'person' I am attacking a religion.
To see a woman say she HAS to SUBMIT to her husband when ever he NEEDS to... is the most disgusting thing I think I have ever heard in my life. AND to think that it is because CHRISTIANITY says it is ok just sickens me. Woman have been equal to men for THOUSANDS of years, until this horrid religion came along. Now, not only are we seen as the weaker sex, we are to allow a psudo rape to happen because a religion says so? Good grief. We as women will be so much better off when this religion fades into the background. We wont have to fight or succumb in any way just because of our sex. The day that happens I will be a happy woman.
That is all I am going to say on that.
My opinions are mine and I own them. I am sorry if that is offencive , but it is just that, MY opinion.

Just because I have to... Joa----
THIS is to what I was referring. Now, because of a generalized statement it is thought that this is my belief as well (even if you don't think that shewolf...this is just the perfect example for me  ) because I am Christian. This belief is archaic and not all Christian submit to this belief. Christianity is not the problem...people who make up stupid "rules" like this are. And please Joa, do not take this as a personal attack. I am not attacking you as a person. I am attacking an idea I cannot and will not agree with.

No, I just believe in a God who would never subject his children (women in this case) to such a ludicrist practice.

Sex is wonderful, not a chore!

<---- reminding self, not to touch bears' hoola hoop.
You schlog schwinger. hahah

Me too christie. and it wasnt until christianity CAME along...( not saying it is a rule at all ) that it was ok to 'have' to have sex. Yes, it is the people who trump it up and outta proportion. But how much out of proportion can you make a direct rule from the bible though???
Ephesians 5:22-24 Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
The bible says.... a woman must submit to a man.

grr... ( i dont like the religion sorry.) Just please dont tke it as an attack. I have disliked the christian religion for personal reasons for a long time. > grumble grumble grr grr!! < heheh

yes, but the bible also says "husbands love your wives like Christ loved his church" which means do not take advantage of her. Treat her with respect and love. Making someone have sex with you despite the fact that they don't want to does not seem respectful or loving.

The bible can be interpreted any way you see fit. Man wrote it. Yes, it is the word of God but it has been re-written a million times since then. Perhaps someone biased it along the way? The bible was never meant to be taken literally. It is stories and proverbs from which you are to draw lessons.

No attack...this kind of thing makes me feel alive!

not to mention, all religions are based on similar beliefs. It is how they are interperted and carried out that make the difference.

Laughing like I said... the bible can be interpreted to mean whatever you want it to.

It's all about the guidelines it sets....AKA the 10 Commandments

Jesus did this to his disciples too. Smile

That is meant to show that we should all be humble, no matter our title, power, etc.
