how are you on black beans and edamame?

I don't have any. Your post is the first that I've ever heard the word edamame.

I'm not much of a soy person.

Although I did get a laugh over that soy company naming themselves Soylent. What in the world were they thinking?

@oralloy,
aYou do regularly. Edamame are originally Japanese which have recently been popping up in all kinds of interesting places. they look kinda like tiny green footballs. High in protein. /Try some when you're forced to the groery. spice up your doomsday meals. I guarantee they're not made out of recycled people.

Edamame are soybean pods in which the beans are not fully grown. They've been eating them forever.

According to a media report, a diplomatic dispute over a vaccine is looming between Germany and the USA.

According to a report in the "Welt am Sonntag", Trump is trying to lure German scientists to America with large financial contributions or to secure the drug exclusively for his country, the newspaper cites government circles in Berlin.

According to the report, the US president is allegedly offering the company a large sum of money to exclusively secure its work. Trump would do everything to get a vaccine for the USA. "But only for the U.S.," the newspaper reports the federal government saying.

In response to an inquiry by the German Press Agency (dpa), the Federal Ministry of Health referred to statements that a ministry spokesman had already made to the newspaper "Welt am Sonntag". "The German government is very interested in the development of vaccines and active substances against the novel corona virus in Germany and Europe," the newspaper quoted the spokesperson. "In this regard, the government is in intensive exchange with the company CureVac."

Germany, the newspaper said, is trying to keep the company with financial offers. According to the report, CureVac is working together with the federally-owned Paul Ehrlich Institute for Vaccines and Biomedical Drugs to produce a vaccine against the virus.

But I can find several dozen pages, over the years, where this same "discussion" is repeated, almost word-for-word.

@Builder,
Progressives can't argue using facts or logic, so they try to obfuscate with false accusations.

@oralloy,
It just gets so fuckin' tedious seeing you defending yourself every time.

I'd tend to point out their occasional absurdities, and leave it at that.

"Exclusively" for the US?! That would be like him. Let's toss in a bunch of billions of taxpayer money to help with my re-election and **** the rest of the world.

Here's an example of a character posting an opinion and attempting to camouflage it with a misapplied "fact":
