A physician friend driving home tonight from a long, grueling day at nearly-overwhelmed hospital treating COVID19 patients, knowing it's going to get much worse for us all, saw lines of young people waiting to get in the bars in his city, writes, "I cannot believe the stupidity."

Come on in the US currently there is only 3000 people who had test positive for this virus and 80 percent of those do not need treatments of any kind.

I can not believe the nonsense we are being sold.

You are not the only one. We do not agree on much. Good post.

@coldjoint,
They figure we're two weeks behind Italy and Italy is on lockdown now, as is Spain. It got here later but it's here now. You realize cases increase exponentially. It WILL get worse. Keep your distance.

The disease will not get worse. It will kill older unhealthy or medically compromised people. They are the ones that need to act on any symptoms. This panic has been created by the MSM.

@coldjoint,
What he means by getting worse is that the number of people who are sick and dying is going to dramatically increase. The carnage hasn't begun yet.

People who are not in a high risk category should still try to avoid the disease so as to prevent a lethal spike in the number of cases.

@coldjoint,
The MSM does not exist in China, Spain, Italy and France. They're the ones that have been on lockdowns and mass quarantines. Your analysis is faulty, Yes, more elderly are dying. So what? They're still dying, and younger infectees are also dying, just not as often. a picnic.nd even if you don't die, it's no

That means nothing when hardly anyone in the country is being tested.

And even if there really had been just 3000 cases in the US, the number of cases is going to double and keep doubling over and over again.

@MontereyJack,
I just side with the facts.

I've got about ten pounds of sliced deli meat in my refrigerator and about seven loaves of bread, a large container of baked salmon, and four vats of hot chili. I also have about 30 cans of soup once the perishables run out.

I expect that I'll have to head out to the grocery store at some point though.
