Fugitive Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has been issued with a new Australian passport after lengthy negotiations over whether he was subject to an arrest warrant for a "serious foreign offence".
A Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade official confirmed in a Senate estimates hearing on Thursday that Mr Assange's 2018 application for a new passport had been accepted. Consular and Crisis Management Division first assistant secretary Andrew Todd said, "Mr Assange does have an Australian passport".
Also interesting is that the woman who arranged the deal, Julie Bishop, announced her retirement plans from govt.
Her Tory cronies are heading for a possible trouncing in the next federal election, slated for May 2019, amidst many instances of blatant corruption and corporate fraud.
Will he make it, I wonder. It’ll require some serious shenanigans. Jesus, I wish I was his undercover secret agent chick. I hope they get him out alive.
The sitting LNP govt are in deep ****, right about now, with various scandals.
If they could pull off a coup, using our SAS, it would be a huge plus for them in the polls.
The downside being, he probably has even more dirt on them, than they'd wish to have made public.
Catch 22 for Julian.

Trump’s own inauguration officials sounded alarms about finances — and the feds have the receipts
Emails are in the possession of prosecutors, who are investigating whether the inauguration committee broke the law

A new report from the Wall Street Journal reveals that members of President Donald Trump’s own inaugural committee were raising alarms about shady billing being done by certain vendors who seemed to be overcharging for routine expenses and services.
“Less than a month before the inauguration, in an email to colleagues, Heather Martin, the committee’s budget director, questioned the budget submitted by a top vendor, event-production company Hargrove Inc.,” the Journal reports. “The company, she wrote, was using ‘wildly different pricing’ from its work on previous inaugurals. She noted ‘redundancy’ and ‘excessively high’ prices for labor, centerpieces and even bike racks.”
Another email seen by the Journal also showed that an inaugural organizer questioned a $3.6 million funding request from Trump’s hotel in Washington, D.C. for eight days of space and food.
The Journal reports that these email exchanges are now in the possession of federal prosecutors in New York, who are investigating whether the inauguration committee broke the law by paying some vendors off book.
A subpoena issued by federal prosecutors earlier this month outlined a wide range of potential crimes related to the inauguration that were under investigation, including conspiracy against the United States, false statements, mail fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, inaugural committee disclosure violations, and laws prohibiting contributions by foreign nations.

That would amount to tax evasion that will never touch Trump. Witch hunt. Ruining Trump's friends lives for grins.
Joseph DiGenova, raid on Roger Stone's home a national disgrace
I noticed in the comments section, that this was part of the coverup of the murder of Seth Rich.
That one seems to have been hastily forgotten in the MSM.

@gungasnake,
Trump is the swamp. the most corrupt, lobbyist-ridden group of incopetents and destructo specialists we've ever seen in DC. If she thinks diferetly, she's a blindered fool. Pruitt, Zinke, Carson, DeVos, tearing down democracy and sane ethical policy every day.
