@ehBeth,
I was truly expressing disappointment, not trying to correct you.

Assuming they ever went through "Russian hands" before getting to wikileaks is "extremely gullible".

We know they went through someone's hands, which is enough to discredit anything coming out of them.

Information availability, confidentiality, and integrity. This data has no integrity.

Because it's coming from Assange? Or because it doesn't support the corporate propaganda you believe in?

You do understand what an unsecured server means? Any two-bit hacker worth their salt could have that information.

And the US sec of state's advisers (and now we learn the Prez himself) knew about it.

The information being released right now by Wikileaks has nothing to do with an unsecured server.

It's coming from John Podesta's gmail account (apparently).

Thanks. I haven't read enough about him to discuss it yet.

@Builder,
Not because it's Assange, but because it's not the original source material.

We know that at least two parties have had the ability to modify the data. (Assange, and whomever gave the data to Assange)

Given the someone's ability to modify the data, we have to make the assumption that it is inherently unreliable.

It only takes the introduction or removal of a few bytes of data to completely change the meaning of a sentence.

"I did not have sexual relations with that woman."

"I did have sexual relations with that woman."

"I did have sexual relations with that man."

"I did have sexual relations with that manatee."

Given these parameters, everything anyone says is inherently unreliable.

See what I mean? When a trusted person in a position of power "misremembers" being "under sniper fire" on landing at an airport, everything they say is then under a cloud of doubt.

@Builder,
It's easily addressable. Ask Podesta to release his emails if they are not true.

You wouldn't trust those either. Podesta could edit them before turning them over.

@Builder,
Not according to the FBI. They say Russian hackers did it.

What's really funny is that this didn't happen through some sophisticated hacking job of gmail. The hackers just guessed his password.

His password was "runner4567". No joke.

Wanna bet that every office in government quickly had discussions about password security?

Do any of you get sick and tired hearing about all the evil associated with Hitlary?

@reasoning logic,
No, I'm glad she is a badass. Instead of running off to Russia and making financial deals with Putin like the Donald would maybe she will put pressure on Russia and Putin unlike Obama. Not knocking Obama but he hasent pushed Putin like he should have. Puts me in mind of Europe just before the 2nd world war.

You would think that the email issue would put a stop to her. But no.

Pushed him where? And for what?

Putin told Obama two years ago the buck stops with him. I posted this back then.

Maybe you need to refresh your memory of what was said.

Apparently he can claim to "misremember" what he did or said, and everything's gonna be alright.

That's plausible, though depending on his operating system, passwords are stored in an easily hackable cache.

@Builder,
You mean like when Ronald Reagan couldn't recall if he put Col North in charge of illegally arming the Contras and selling military parts to Iran or not?

@bobsal u1553115,
There's never been a more obvious divide between those in power, and those who are not.

Two sets of laws.

@Builder,
Bullshit. 4 of the last Presidents (I'm including Hillary) have been born out of the lower middle class. The wealthier, including tRump, are trying to take this nation away from us.

The founders of this country were wealthy and powerful.
