@ossobucotemp,
Perhaps silly was wrong word, still, I think the way it went was the best way and perhaps the only it could have went and still had gotten him without him getting away. The Pakistani government might have warned him and I do not see how we could have just gotten him arrested and out of Pakistan without Pakistan's permission since we were not at war with them.

What difference does it make now?

You were the one to bring it up as a reply to my previous post; sorry it didn't work out like you wanted. Trump said what he said put on the spot or not.

You have a problem with punishing law breakers?

If abortion should become illegal and women start to go the back channels, I imagine their punishment would find them soon enough.

@Krumple,
You dont have to go back 10 years to hear tRump make sexist comments. 2 months is far enough. He is a loudmouthed sexist prick and proud of it.

@ossobucotemp,
Re abortion, but also the rest of life -

I have a friend who had an abortion in Tijuana back in the day. I've no idea if that was a competent place; it might have been; she wasn't a dummy and would have researched, but research was different back then.

I had invited my friends to a gathering at my first apartment. In memory, that was quite a night. These were mostly long time personal friends.

My first apartment was a tack on place to a legal duplex, small, with an obnoxious neighbor (that was the playboy bunny of the year, that year).
The apartment was tiny, a bedroom where I got to hear yelling noises through what must have been the old door, a sink which may or may not have been the font of all the cockroaches; some small refrigerator I can't visualize now, and a bathroom. The place was on a good street, doable re money. I caught on it was illegal and started apt hunting, which ended well.

But the party - one of my friends who made a big effort to show up had had an abortion in TJ that day or the day before: I think I remember it was that day. I didn't know until she clued me in. She was a in quite a state but wanted to connect, didn't stay long.
She later met a more interesting man, and they are now married a barrel of years.

A while later another friend showed, balloon pregnant. She was a mess too, husband a gambler and fond of secretaries, which I learned later. She too is ok now.

I don't think these friends met each other.
Looking back, I wish they did at some point, if not right then.

Me, I was with a fellow I was fond of but did not want to marry. He knew that.

It would be helpful to know for certain what she knew at that moment about Qaddafi's capture and death.

You'd think the best intel on the planet would have a clue, right? Managed to "lose" 6 trillion dollars through accounting errors, so maybe not the best source for intelligence, I'm guessing.

The simple fact remains, that despite convincing her leader to invade on "humanitarian" grounds (unproven), there was no plan other than invasion. Nada.

The latest from Obama is to blame the other coalition invaders for not "staying the distance" in Libya. Sound familiar?

And he doesn't have the decency to be humiliated when he's caught. And his basket of deplorables don't have the decency to be ashamed of him.

@snood,
Yes, we're seeing that now with his comments on the bus. Trump figures he can just brush it off as "locker room talk".

@snood,
Trump is not just talking vulgar, he is talking about wanting to commit sexual assault by grapping a woman by a private part. He may have apologized but his mouthpieces are doubling down on it and excusing it.

Quote:
WOLF BLITZER (HOST): Corey Lewandowski, what was your reaction to hearing this audio and seeing the video?

COREY LEWANDOWSKI: Look I think what this comes down to, and this is not a surprise, is clearly this is not how women should be spoken about. But we're not choosing a Sunday school teacher here. And I want to be very clear about this. And what we know about Donald Trump, this is 12 years ago, this audiotape. And it does not reflect or bring to mind the Donald Trump that I've spent 18 months with traveling. I've never heard anything like this out of him. And so let me say, we're appointing a leader. We are electing a leader to the free world, we're not electing a Sunday school teacher. And I spoke with Jerry Falwell, Jr., who runs Liberty University, and he went out and he reminded us of the difference between Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter. Jimmy Carter was the absolute best person to be a Sunday school teacher for their children. But to have a leader, someone who is tough and will be respected around the world, that's what we're doing here. And that's what I think Donald Trump is. And are his words perfect? Absolutely not. Is this defensible? I don't think so. What I do know is that he has apologized if anyone has been offended. This was a private conversation. But I know Donald Trump as the husband. I know Donald Trump as the father of two women. And I have seen firsthand the respect that he's had for women over my tenure, during employment through the Trump Organization and the Trump campaign. So let me say, this private conversation obviously is troubling, but we want a leader who is going to lead America. And you know what, is that rough sometimes? It is. Is this defensible? Absolutely not. But what I do know is he's still the person that's going to lead our country forward and we should be thinking about what that true leadership looks like with the rest of the world

There is simply too many points with Lewandowski (what a name) above to take issue with, the last sentence is the whole point.

So, Lash, just curious...
Bernie - still a revolutionary visionary,
or now a corrupt sellout?

Bernie just doesn't want Trump, so if he needs to embrace the beast it's worth it to him. The fear of Trump is greater than the humility of kneeling before queen lizard.
