Craven, Fond Du Lac is about an hour and a half northeast of Madison. So whomever is there could make it without too much trouble. (Will it be you??)

Possibly, I just don't know when.

I bring containers in from Malasia and China to Fond du Lac through Chicago or Wisconsin (not settled on where to clear the FDA).

Shocked

WOW!

That would be fantastic.

If this doesn't work out, lemme know when you come through Chicago sometime (if that's what is settled on).

I'm in ... Madison is an overnighter for me, but that's doable. Gotta get dates straightened out though. And CdK, even if you don't manage to make Madison, fer chrissakes lemme know if and when you do hit Fon du Lac ... I could get there for an overnighter too. Ahhh, Wisconsin ... so many bars, so little time.

ok - so it's an 11 hour drive to Madison from here. (mapquest says 10 hours and 59 minutes, but ya know, there's ALWAYS construction somewhere)
It might just work. Maybe.

I"d prefer a weekend, but heck, I'll make time whenever it works out good for everyone else.

It definitely will be a weekend. Saturday is the only day I can travel.

hmmmm

the latest I could make it work is Friday night, or Saturday morning. Is there anyway that could work? Or maybe I'll save this trip for next year? That would be o.k., too.

I've already hit my quota  for meeting online friends for the year. Most of you are waaaaay behind, so you guys NEED this get-together.

Heck, I could do a couple days I guess, as long as I had a bit of time to coordinate things.

Friday night, like 7 p.m would work. I get off work at 4:30 and it's about a 2.5 hour drive.

Cool by me ... now, we gotta figure out which Friday/Saturday/whatever. Dunno if I'll get a room nearby, stay with a freind, or bring a tent. I should start figurin' that out. I could always bring a dog or two, too.

If I've got the co-ordinating holidays right - Columbus Day falls on our Thanksgiving, which is the weekend of October 10/11 (roughly - no calendar sitting in front of me). I'm supposed to be at a gardeningFest for another forum for part of that weekend. It's about 2 hours west of here, so at least I'd already be facing the right way. I've got the rest of that week off, and had planned to just do some driving around, with Setanta, and probably the dogs. Maybe check out the UP. I'm guessing we'd be in the Madison zone from roughly Thursday p.m. to early Saturday (October 16 - 18)afternoon. I've got that 11 hour drive to make back by about noon on Sunday - if the dogs are with me, it won't be a straight through trip. I was thinking Madison to somewhere outside of Detroit for Saturday night, and then the slide home on Sunday (gotta do laundry and get ready for work on Monday).

o.k. - so you got to see/hear me talk that through. So Friday night/Saturday morning is a possibility? Travelling with the dogs means I'll be looking for the closest Red Roof Inn - or as some other dog-trekkers call it - the Red Woof. Very Happy

Ha! red roof 6 miles north of madison - less than $40 u.s./night. not exactly stylin', but they're nice to dogs.

Omigoodness Beth might really come!

My only requirement is that I be there for the farmer's market Saturday a.m. So that could be Friday night. In fact that could work better.
