Here's the Great Dane's site, which keeps coming up:

http://www.greatdanepub.com/

(Madison is in Dane County.)

I don't think I ever went there, though.

Friday night walleye fry.

Not on State, but just off the capitol square.

It looks like we're going to be there for three days and am starting to arrange various meals with friends, so fine with me to get my State St./ weird food fix with them.

Setanta, is decibel level a consideration for you?

Soz, most loud noise doesn't bother me--for example, a room full of screaming two year olds leaves me unphased. A loud piercing metallic sound will drive me up the wall however, so if you mean there's a loud band, i'll tolerate them if they're any good, otherwise . . .

Here he is!
I've been trying to reach theSetanta.

New jeans and a sweatshirt? Sounds like my idea of perfect casual. I do not want to wear anything that requires accessories on this trip. Well, except for a hat, or maybe antlers.

I think that was abundantly obvious.

You gotta wear a hat, though. Antlers or straw or velvet or SOMETHING.

Setanta, the thing about loudness is how it impacts communication for you. I seem to remember (and major blush if I have this wrong) that you are hard of hearing, and background noise was killer for me when I was hoh. (Now that I'm well and truly deaf, background noise doesn't make a dent, but I gotta be able to SEE.)

sozobabe - i don't think i ever travel anywhere without a hat or two - there WILL be hats - i've been considering the antler options - maybe Miss Cleopatra will let me borrow her Christmas antlers (they're much nicer than mine) ?

You're very right in your recollection about Setanta's hearing. He'll have to explain which types of sound are more of a problem for him - you'd think I'd know by now, but he fakes me out by lip-reading a fair bit. Well lit is best for most - if it's too bright for me, I'll put on my hat and shades

great - Setanta says he's not gonna wear anything, and sozobe counters with the co-op is well lit, with a good view. Are you deliberately encouraging him to stand outside the co-op and moon Madison? Shocked

Someone, please, tell him he HAS to wear pants in Madison. He won't believe me Rolling Eyes

Of course not! I'm encouraging him to do so IN the co-op. Duh!

Setanta, you have to wear pants in Madison. Usually. If there's a cop, like, right there. Who looks like he's had a bad day.
