Survivor 9: Vanuatu

I didn't read any of the bios to see where they went to school, which is something I usually find interest in. There is usually one person from my school (and just about every other reality show).

I'm just excited about the new season.

CBS) A total of 18 new castaways will complete in separate tribes of men versus women on "Survivor: Vanuatu - Islands of Fire," the ninth installment of the hit TV series, which will premiere Thursday, Sept. 16, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, on CBS.

The identities of the castaways were unveiled Tuesday on The Early Show.

"Survivor: Vanuatu - Islands of Fire" takes place on the islands of Vanuatu, located in the remote waters of the South Pacific near the tumultuous "Ring Of Fire," a land of volcanoes and rituals where sorcery and black magic are a part of tribal life and the spirits of the dead are believed to have power over the living.

More than 80 islands are home to more than 100 languages and a diverse group of tribes and clans whose history includes cannibalism.

I missed what made the men hate Brook.

For Chris not to make it across the bean ...well, that's just sad.

That old lady made it across. Made me pissed to see him standing there instead of trying again and again RIGHT after he fell.

Two things.

1. Eliza has a great rack. I want her to win.

2. They slaughtered a pig. Big deal. But showing old lady boobs? That's crossing the line.

If memory serves, last year's Survivor's first challenge also involved balancing--and the same thing happened. The men were in the lead and fell behind because a few simply couldn't maintain their balance. No surprise. There's a reason that the balance beam in gymnastics is a woman's event.

Yes, you are correct. He was an Asian guy from TX (i remember b/c he's from our rival school). Both him and last night's guy still came off as goons.

Eliza goes to school in Syracuse. She will be a big celebrity for the next few months. She does have jiggly boobs.

I think some serious editing occurred because I didn't see Brook (?) doing anything that would have caused him to be voted out.

Brook- the older guys thought he was the strongest and the biggest challenge. They also seemed to feel either he had a big mouth or was the leader of the youngest guys.

I also felt that the men turned their back on Chris. Only one was encouraging him. I think if they all pulled together and encouraged him, he may have tried harder. Instead most of them turned their backs and looked at him in disgust. Remember it is a team effort and next time it could be a challenge where you are weak.
