Did one of my formerly favorite running routes on Saturday:
10 kilometers from my house, around Spot Pond and back.

Ten clicks are a longer than they used to be!

I was going to take the stairs up to my office, but a hottie got on the elevator, so I changed my plans.

Concept II? I've got the Kettler Favorite. Seems like a good 'un for the price.

The concept II uses an air-resistance flywheel unlike the kettler's
hydraulic cylinders. Luckily for me I didn't have to buy it. We have one
in the exercise room at work.

Went to the gym. Did some core work, then 30 minutes on the eliptical, 2.8 miles, 510 calories. Skipped weights today, just didn't feel up to it.

Didn't work out today but tomorrow I'm adding a second set to my regular routine and on Wednesday, I'm checking out a yoga class starting near my home. Really looking forward to it.

Same here, Jo. Temps in the single digits (Farenheit) around here.
So I took inspiration from cjhsa and Jo and worked in some situps
and "core" exercises. Still at the wimp level, but ya gotta start
somewhere. Abs of steel, here I come!

Also did a shoulder workout in my continuing quest to build up a
support infrastructure for my poor old rotator cuff.

George, have you tried acupuncture for that shoulder? Obviously they can't repair a torn cuff with pins & needles, but you might find some relief. Try it (once a week for at least a month), I bet you'll be surprised.

I just went over to they gym - they have the water turned off. So I did an about face back to my desk.

Thanks cjhsa, but I get all the needling I need here on A2K (har! har!).

But seriously, I don't have any pain except when I move my arm within
certain ranges of motion. So I avoid those ranges of motion. It seems
that lately those ranges are decreasing. Great news, unless it's just my
imagination. Maybe the shoulder exercises are helping?

You have a steel shoulder?
Is that a plate or replacement gear?

Yes, if it's no trouble, I'd like that, Roger.

I'll see if I can find it tonight.

Just the ball is stainless. They ream out the humourous, glue in a spike, and hook on the rounded section with a set screw. It's a heck of a lot better than nothing.
