Political opinions such as an allegiance to Hillary Clinton, for instance. I criticize her, and four or five members attack me, intentionally misrepresent what I say, call me names, and follow me to other threads with the same behavior. Because I critize their preferred political candidate.

Because Hillary Clinton is the sacred cow of A2K, this behavior is applauded rather than seen as an issue.

Political views play a powerful role in who is deemed an asshole and who is "fighting the good fight."

I don't think I'm the only member who's seen faggot, ****, ( which I guess is considered a gender-related slur) and every profanity I can imagine on these pages. I've used a hardy crop of them myself. I had no idea they were forbidden.

I'm not intending to argue really, or contest the progress of the intended changes. I guess I just want this point to be heard.

Jesus I was just picking random groups out of a hat and had no idea you had a problem with being called a pedophile. I have no comment on you and your positions and what people say about them, I am not familiar with any of them.

And again, I'm not going to get into hypotheticals about how much crap exactly one can get away with here. Follow the spirit of the rule and stop trying to look for loopholes. I'm not going to waste more time on you.

There are a small minority of people with highly irrational prejudices. Some dislike jews; some black; some women; some policemen; some Democrats, etc. They're around. You can't punish them all, nor should you try to, in my book.

To me, being "specially protected" often just means to take self-righteous indignation as a right; to claim offense at the drop of a hat; and to play the victim. Grow up, y'all. It's just words.

If I call some woman a "bitch" it's because that's what I think she is. She happens to be a woman, but that's beside the point. Well, to me it is. But maybe not to HER. To her, if she likes playing the victim, it's "misogyny" and calls for a full-scale investigation by the ACLU.

I suggest to you that this is a case of whose ox was gored, and that people see these events through the same colored lens which inform their political opinions.

No, I had no idea you have managed to get yourself into a situation where you are being called a pedophile. I can imagine why most people would have a problem with it but I don't expect most people to have a problem with it. It was a random example, now moving on.
