@msolga,
Actually, Monday was fine until I looked at the ankle!!!

Locum came...a hyper-active Chinese fella this time, who seemed to know what he was doing.

Told me to elevate leg even more than I have been doing....and get a pressure bandage to relieve swelling.

And the antibiotics.

I should have dealt with it earlier, but I HATE antibiotics.

It's dumb.

Getting some doctor who is working all night and comes to you costs me NOTHING....they accept medicare rate.

Going to a doctor working office hours, where you go to THEM costs ME money.

Life be odd.

@msolga,
Wake up on study sofa to new alarm set to run with the music from my iPhone....get up slowly...call work and say I was unable to schedule in the original Tuesday client...so will be in about 10.00 am...go to pharmacy to pick up antibiotic (needs to be taken asap in morning and then 3 more times a day)

Go to work and handle as much as I can of horrendous amount work waiting for me...this includes seeing how long I can sit in office chair at computer, read files, speak on phon etc......last as long as I possibly can....go haome as late as possible.

@dlowan,
Not bloody cellulitis again - Oh, ****!

Your house must be harbouring some sort of nasty spider - might need to consider pest spraying. Funny they're a problem when you're not on the ground floor. Mebbe higher-altitude spiders are more vicious!

Bugger!

Get gooder sooner!

@msolga,
I wonked out and stayed home.

Bit scared re the infection, and doc told me to elevate foot a LOT!

This damn spider thing has me beat, Margo.

I NEVER see one!!!!

I might have got this one elsewhere, because I felt no bites.

But I haven't BEEN almost anywhere!!!!

Also, last time whatever it was made me very, very ill as well....this time, just some pain that developed slowly over a few days into one little red spot, and one BIG one. The little one resolved itself. The big one is revolting, but nothing like the first one.

This one is locally nasty, but nowhere near as spectacular as No 1. The swelling from No1 was as big as a small breast, with bright red streaks through it.....and it began to colonise up the leg.

Work in serious mode tomorrow though, infections, backs just have to care for themselves!

Glad you stayed home, Deb. Just hoping tomorrow won't be too much for me.

Only slightly nauseous from the spider bite discussion. Thud.

Very wise move, Deb. I'm glad.

I'm really hoping you don't feel too bad about that.

Just don't push things too hard, OK?

As for the spider. Does the doctor say it could be anything else that that caused the infection? Strange!

@msolga,
Might I have bitey aliens in the house?

Can't think of anything else likely to be in here that could make a bite like that.

Apparently their poison makes the affected cells more prone to infection.

I used to get big red welts from bull ants....but I really don't think I have bull ants!!!

But you said you'd never seen one in the house!

Here's hoping all is going well for you at work, Deb. It must be pretty tiring get back into it.
Don't overdo the catching up stuff, will you?

Sure -- it's part of how they procreate, according to a documentary I once saw. Soon, somewhere near the bite, your skin will bulge, the little alien's head will break through, and he will crawl out. Kind of messy, if I remember correctly.

Definitely improving. In the last couple of days, I have been walking in Publix, Sam's Club and Walgreens. I feel that I am getting stronger every day, although sometimes, after a bit, I do hit the wall. It is much too hot to walk outside, but a lot cheaper than being in the stores! Mr. Green
