Read your post again, hawk. "Liberl fantasy that blacks belong at university" sure as hell comes off sounding racist. Ypu MAY not have meant"keep 'em ignorant and out in the fields chopping cotton" but it sounds rminiscent of it.

In an age where most liberals have decided that MLK was wrong about the wisdom of judging others on the content of their character rather than the color of their skin of course. My wording was poor, though from the context that placed that phrase in it should be clear to you that I was again talking about admitting blacks because they are blacks and more blacks walking around campus is what is wanted and what is gotten, even though it means admitting unqualified blacks who will more likely than not never get a degree but will be left with student loans to pay.

You are comical.

I have posted endlessly on this thread - even my slap of you was preceded by my direct professional experience of the exact matter you and izzy were talking about.

I don't think people who don't agree with my are blind - **** I don't even agree with me all the time, my opinions are always forming and are informed by cogent argument and evidence.

Sadly, on this matter (and many others) you don't have either.

As we say in military circles, you are too often a waftam. Not always, but too often.

Let us know when and if you are ready to talk about the topic again. If you are stuck you could pick out one of those laughable ideas of mine and destroy it. If you can,

@hawkeye10,
The topic is pretty much how racist, unempathetic and narcissistic you are.

And you're covering that very nicely. Job done.

I am not interested, I use the yardstick Right/Wrong. I am interested in the ideas, I dont have a fetish of being hyper concerned with who is speaking them.

Does anyone besides me figure that right about now university administrators all over are having second thoughts about their long running practice of admitting unqualified blacks in order to get the "right" color scheme in the student body?

Nope, just you and your racist "amen" choir.

@hawkeye10,
What about the afirmative action rich folks like GWB get by being a "legacy" of dad being an 'Eli' and the money grampa gave to Yale? Do you think if you had all the money needed to go to Yale with the 'D' average GWB had you'd have been accepted to Yale? I don't. If you had straight A's you wouldn't get into Yale.

The wealthy have all sorts of affirmative action programs you and I do not get.

Its a distillation of Hawkshite's attitude that he's repeated and built on many, many times. You aren't mistaken. And it doesn't sound racist, it is racist.

@bobsal u1553115,
So can a lack of personal responsibility, which seems to be a problem with a lot of people in today's world.

The problem with how you guys use "empathy" is that you think that someone HAS to put others before themselves, but that isn't how the world works. When I stop thinking about myself and my family, who is going to think about them? You? Hardly.

That and it is code for " the facts dont matter, I think I win on emotion" which becomes " we have to do what I say, and there is no point in arguing about it".

We are not supposed to notice the manipulation natch.

And today talking about enrolling people by way of judging academic merit instead of genetic pool the person comes from is being called "racist". Laying down that label is supposed to conclude the case, I must be wrong, no need to even talk about why I think we should enroll into the university on the grounds of academic merit.

As I have explained a few hundred times I am here for the combat of ideas, I am here to win which means to become better tuned into reality, I am invested in this project. Except for standing up to bullies my rancor is reserved for what I have judged to be bad ideas, people who determined to stay living in their fantasies, and gratuitous lack of civility.

Reading comprehension much? I never EVER made any snide remark about your family. NEVER, EVER.

I made a snide remark about you, in retaliation to the one you made about me.

If it bugs you, cut it out yourself.

What ******* comment did I make about you other than to assert that you wouldn't be thinking of my family when making political decisions. You turned it into a dig about my relationship with my family and how you feel for them. How is that me making a comment about you?
