I got no beef with neo. We've sort of managed to agree to disagree without going for each others' throats too hard. Compared to the rabid wingnut theists that pass through from time to time, he's relatively easy to have a dialog with. YMMV, of course.

I like Neo, but he doesn't listen and slimes in, while being instructive.

I would prefer he would start own stuff instead of riding other's threads which told him, atheists only.

Neo's content certainly lacks novelty. I don't care who posts here, nor have any illusions about being able to do so. I did ask that people not feed the troll, and all Frank wants to do is start a pissing contest so he can sneer at and belittle others, which is hardly in the spirit of the thread. Neo jumps right in to enable that. I lost the idea that Neo is harmless quite some time ago, now. He peddles the worst kind of scriptural horseshit, and his participation in a thread such as this is only turd-stirring.

I am not a troll...and I am not here to start a pissing contest. I am here to present my views on the theism/atheism continuum.

Science, logic, and reason cannot lead to" there are no gods" any more than they can lead to "there is at least one god." Science, logic, and reason cannot lead to "it is more likely there are no gods than that there is at least one god" anymore than they can lead to "it is more likely there is at least one god than that there are none."

The only thing science, logic, and reason can lead to is "I do not know if there is at least one god...or if there are none."

With all the respect in the world...that is best denoted by the word "agnostic" than by the word "atheist."

I simply do not care that some people want to shut that out by arbitrarily designating certain threads off-limits to the thought.

I mention this to highlight my observation that side conversations, even highly inflammatory conversations, occur in every thread. And, its true, they often have nothing to do with the OP. But I always thought that was the reason for the thumb down thingy.

I fail to understand why, "Other people destroy threads. Therefore it's the correct way to conduct one's self on a forum such as this," has become the stock answer, each time we reach this point. That's my last point I want to make here and I will withdraw from the arguing about it.

I fail to understand why you think that is what is happening here.

Anyone has a right to come into a thread to comment. Threads should not be made that exclude this right...or restrict where the comments will lead.

Glad you are not going to argue further about it, though...because you are wrong-headed on this issue.
