@cicerone imposter,
Now you're talkin'.

Love me some travel.

Heard of Tasmania, CI? Island state of Aus. March is the pick of the months.

Cleanest ocean on the planet, and best cold-water seafood.

East coast beaches are world class, and offshore tuna fishing the same.

@Builder,
Been to Australia a couple of times, but all of it on the east coast area. Sydney, Cairns, Port Douglas, Great Barrier Reef, and the rain forest.
Heard of Tasmania, but did never visit there. I'm sure I've missed some good things.
One of the unique things I've done at the Great Barrier Reef is the boat ride to the manmade island where we had lunch. Rather than snorkeling, I did the glass bottom boat ride.

@cicerone imposter,
Tasmania has the last tracts of true temperate rainforest on the planet, as well as vestiges of forests from the Gondwanaland days (some of those in highlands NSW as well). You can swim in the morning, and ski the highlands at lunch.

Incredible engineering feat in the hydro-electricity stakes as well. Not bad trout fishing in the highlands, either..

I'm a door to door colonoscopy salesman. You could get yourself checked out, see what's causing everything to back up.

There is one progressive in the presidential race. There's one feminist in the presidential race. Jill Stein.

@maporsche,
You mean Jill Stein? Not bad on environmental issues and some other things, but she also will carry out Putin's foreign policy for America, and withdraw from NATO. Also, she flat out said that Ukraine doesn't have the right to be a fully independent country and make its own decisions free of Moscow.

Let her become president, and in a year she'll say that Poland doesn't have the right to be a fully independent country and make its own decisions free of Moscow.

After that it will be the Czech Republic doesn't have the right to be a fully independent country, etc etc as Putin and his tanks make their way through Eastern Europe. Then Western Europe.

@Blickers,
I love how people who joined Obama in mocking Mitt Romney for saying that Russia was our greatest threat now see them as the Big Bad Wolf that only Hillary Ironsides can control.

@Finn dAbuzz,
At no point did anyone bring up the radical idea of the US withdrawing from NATO until Trump. Obama did not say Russia was not a concern, but buildings full of people blowing up were more of a concern, I think you will agree. Russia invaded and annexed the Crimea and sends troops into Eastern Ukraine in 2014, so far stymied by Ukrainian forces, making Russia somewhat more of a concern than it was, which Obama handled nicely by working with the EU to cripple Russia's already moribund economy. But Ukraine is not a NATO country so we are not obligated to defend it, although we have and are taking steps to make Russia regret what it has done. But NATO still remains unchallenged, though we have taken steps to beef up the other Eastern European countries. As of right now, buildings blowing up on American soil is still our number one concern. That doesn't mean it is advisable to do what Trump advocates and virtual cede Eastern Europe to Russian invasion by the US withdrawing from NATO.

Where do you Republicans get these guys?

@Finn dAbuzz,
How can anyone actually believe that Putin will either fear or respect Hillary Clinton.

But we can strongly suspect that he might have leverage over her having copies of what was in her emails... that's a hell of a position to be in and it doesn't bode well for the the United States. Based on that possibility alone disqualifies her candidacy... But you get the government you deserve.

@Blickers,
I don't care about any Russia ties (honestly couldn't care less).

Its the complete lack of any relevant experience. Her anti-vaccine stance. Her complete anti-nuclear stance (like a shut down all current plants stance)

He mocked Romney and so did all of his supporters.

He has since then repeatedly stated that terrorism is not that great a threat, it's not an existential threat.

A nation with nukes certainly can represent an existential threat.

For the umpteenth time, I don't support Trump, I'm not going to vote for him and I don't want to see him as president. Surely you don't believe that I can't criticize Clinton, Obama and Democrats because Trump is the GOP nominee.

@maporsche,
You must be relatively young? Perhaps you don't know too much about the cold war? Putin would love to take back the countries the USSR lost, he would love to get rid of NATO and would love for the US to be weaker than Russia. As it is right now, Putin is not a threat to the US or western European countries, but, if he had a sympathetic ally like the US, he soon would be.

@Finn dAbuzz,
You really ain't worth debating, you twist the words of the President and say he says stuff he never said or implied and everything to you is an either/ or situation to you.

@revelette2,
I'm 36 so I guess that's relatively young. I just don't see the US backing out of NATO and it seems unlikely that Russia will take over the US as the leading super power anytime soon.

One of the least of my concerns if I'm being honest. That could change of course if situations change.

Russia can be an existential threat, but due to NATO and Russia going broke in 1991 and having to set the Eastern European countries free at last, it was not moving forward or acting threatening at all at the time. Even now, Russia is not as great a threat as terrorism. Meanwhile, terrorist threats to America are being hatched constantly. Which do YOU think is the greater threat, even now?

PS: Exactly what about President Obama's response to Russia-teaming up with the EU and others to cripple the Russian economy, sending NATO troops to Eastern European countries-strikes you as Obama not taking Russia seriously?

@maporsche,
In the normal course of events you are right, but if everyone's real worst nightmare comes true and Trump is president, who knows how it will end up. Trump demoted his main guy in his campaign, but he didn't get rid of him. He has lots of ties to Putin/Russia and took money in bribes in Ukraine. As for Stein, she went to some celebratory dinner in Russia in 2015 really trashing the US while saying nothing about Russia abuses of the press and gays.

Hopefully Hillary will be president, I am little worried because apparently the documents FBI had are going to be released so then we will have rehash a lot of information and it might bring her numbers down.

@revelette2,
What words did I twist?

Did he not mock Romney during the debate?

Has he not said that terrorism, and specifically ISIS, do not represent an existential threat.
