@RABEL222,
Hillary's programme is becoming very close to Sanders now. I guess that makes of her a bigger liar than he is... At leadt he believes in his stuff. She doesn't, and is just pretending to move leftward.

So Bernie takes Wisconsin with a 13% margin over Hillary. Not quite the 16% Nate Silver's "narrow path to victory" requires, but close enough to keep hoping.

So, if Bernue is really an atheist but lies about it so as to be more electable, that's not political pandering? Interesting.

He's a lying Jewish atheist, I tell you. He should should feel the burn, at the stake.

@Olivier5,
Not my point. If he's someone who stands so nobly by what he really believes (which is one thing for which so many love him), then why would he not stand proudly by being an atheist - if that's what he is? Unless (and this is my point), Bernie will hide or reveal who he is according to how it affects his political chances - JUST LIKE ANY OTHER SANE POLITICIAN.

@snood,
Okay, so he is mentally sane. That's a good thing, right?

@Olivier5,
Yeah, I'll go along with he's sane - as long as you can go along with that means he'll do what's politically expedient - like any politician.

I wish the United States would grow up. Julia Gillard, former PM of Australia, is an openly avowed atheist. I'm not saying that politicians should be atheists--just that it shouldn't be an issue.

The first Queen Elizabeth was the daughter of Henry VIII, who founded the Anglican Church. He was succeeded by his son, Edward VI. Under Edward, they got busy rounding up Protestants (Anglicans did not consider themselves Protestants). They particularly loathed Baptists, and when they found them, they'd hang them or burn them. He was succeeded by his half-sister Mary, who tried to make England Catholic again.

So when Elizabeth became Queen, she said: “I have no desire to make windows into men's souls." She was a sensible woman--and centuries ahead of her times.

@snood,
In this particular case, being evasive makes a lot of sense. However, I wonder how he will respond if someone ever asks him direct, probing questions about his beliefs (as opposed to the question in the Rolling Stone interview, which was fairly general).

If nominated, he will probably have to address the issue in a clearer manner than he did so far.

You guys will burn him anyway: wrong if he is a believer, wrong if he is an atheist, wrong if he is an agnostic, wrong always and forever.

@Olivier5,
Wrong oh persecution complex one, I'm not burning him at all. I'm simply saying what I've said, and what obviously bears repeating with some folk: Bernie is a human, he ain't no goddamn saint, and he will do political **** for political ends and human **** for human ends.

I believe he is an important voice for progressive causes; he has already had a significant and lasting effect on American politics, but that he is no elevated, enlightened being - and if that's taken as "burning" him, I'm gonna let that be someone else's problem.

@snood,
Thanks for reminding us that Bernie is only human. Seeing how he seems to win against all odds, I was under the impression he was the son of Athena and Yahweh or something.

He doesn't have to ve, to win these caucuses. Talk to me after he wins a primary, overwhelminly, in a genuinely diverse state. Which is, by the way what he has to do - more than once - to win.

@snood,
The guy -- because yes, thank you, least we forget, he is only human -- is having a fantastic run. Would it hurt your ego too much to acknowledge it? Smile))

Clinton campaign chief linked to Russian bank listed in Panama Papers

Source: Washington Examiner

The head of Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign is linked to a Russian bank involved with an emerging international scandal, according to documents reported on Tuesday.

Registration forms indicate that the Podesta Group signed up to lobby for the Sberbank of Russia in Washington about a month ago, in early March. The bank has been implicated in a scheme unearthed on Sunday in which leaders worldwide illegally stashed their assets overseas.

I think the Hillbots would spontaneously combust to admit anything positive about Bernie.

@Lash,
Yes sweety pie, but aren't you just like them in a way? What good things do you have to say about Hillary?

I'd offer: She is smart, experienced, and a tough political fighter. If elected, she will give hell to the repukes.

@Olivier5,
Concerning the Panama Papers scandal, let's start putting two and two together.

1. Hillary Clinton lobbied for the Panama-United States Trade Promotion Agreement, and WAS WARNED it would make money laundering and tax evasion easier for rich folks and bad guys. www.ibtimes.com/...

2. Deutsche Bank is up to its eyeballs in this ****. www.dw.com/...

3. After resigning as SoS, Hillary Clinton personally made $485,000 speaking to - don't hold your breath, you know where I'm going with this - Deutsche Bank. theintercept.com/…

No nuance. It’s really simple. Hillary Clinton did Deutche Bank a big lucrative solid, and they returned the favor when it was legally permissible.
