Is that why they constantly snide or insult him?

Examples? There are several entire threads from Sanders supports talking about how they will not support Clinton, pushing conspiracy theories, etc. Could you show just some posts of Clinton supporters trashing Sanders?

@engineer,
I have few times, like I said I don't like him as much as most Hillary supporters here do.

@revelette2,
I have nothing against you rev, personally, but am tired of the scornful, condescending tone used by a bunch of depressed defeatists on A2K towards anyone with a bit of enthusiasm for Bernie.

They feel a need to damp the energy of everybody around them because they forbid themselves to dream. And because they never hope for anything in politics, nobody else should be allowed to hope. **** that.

@Olivier5,
It is called politics in the US, Oliver. If people who want Hillary president didn't defend her and pick out the issues in which they disagree with about Sanders, then, Hillary may as well just give the presidency to Sanders. Most people don't think he has a chance in a million of passing anything he wants and people like me (I am kind of minority among Hillary supporter here who think this way) thinks some of the things he wants passed would actually be bad for the country. Plus I have always thought Bernie Sanders acted like a self righteous know it all trying to make out like only he has all the ethical answers and the rest of us (including Obama) are part of the problem. I don't deal with that, it sticks in my craw. I don't see a cute cuddly kindly old man when I see him yelling in his rallies, but is just me.

@engineer,
Just read their posts, man. Bernie was accused by Beth and others of being corrupt and in bed with the bankers, just because he attended some senate retreat in Marta Vineyard. He was said by Rabel to shun AIPAC just for the show while voting for them. Snood has spent all the time he could on lambasting Bernie's FUTURE behavior, once Hillary gets the nomination...

All this makes a mockery of the contention that Hillarybots are behaving rationally while Berniebots are not, and that the former are fair debaters while the latter are not.

@revelette2,
That's politics, period. It's the same everywhere. To each his own opinion but don't tell me that Bernie supporters are irrational, foaming mouth beasts while Hillary supporters are only rational, cool-headed ladies and gentlemen. Please... Because that's ridiculously partisan, and highly irrational!

And you're not in "minority among Hillary supporter here who ... thinks some of the things he wants passed would actually be bad for the country". Most of Hillary supporters do, or they would vote for Bernie.

@Olivier5,
Do you have some links? I've seen Snood's comments that speculate that Bernie will wholeheartedly support Clinton but that it would be bad if Sanders just offered luke warm support. I haven't seen any "lambasting", but maybe I missed it. Nor did I see Beth saying Sanders was "corrupt and in bed with the bankers". I'd love to read the post if she did.

This is political debate. Questioning Sanders' ability to get something done or the validity of his positions is not some vicious attack on the man any more than someone saying Clinton's vote for the Iraq war disqualifies her in his mind. You keep saying Clinton supporters are personally attacking Sanders and I don't see it. I do see personal attacks on Clinton by Sanders supporters. Show my the anti-Sanders hyperbole and I'll believe you. I don't read all the flames that go back and forth around here, but if you what you contend was real, I think I'd have seen it by now.

I would encourage you to go read the first 3-4 pages of the "Bernie's In" thread.

The NeverHillary stuff starts on page 1. The "exuberance" for Bernie really starts on page 2. From what I've just re-read, the Hillary people seem pretty rational. Maybe I'll keep reading and see if I can find those mythical snide insults directed at Bernie.

I have no time to dig up old posts. Just saying it as I see it. If you don't see it, you're actually lucky.

I was not speaking about you. I tend to respect your posts, more often than not.

Is this an example of the "scornful condescending tone" that you were so upset with earlier...like 5 posts ago?

@maporsche,
I said "bitch". For instance you've been bitching that Sanders has been an ineffective senator, in a US Senate that has been hung for as long as we can remember... How unfair (or irrational) is that? Sanders voted as honestly as he could, and he sponsored quite a few amendments and laws. What else do you expect of him? Multiplication of loaves and fishes?

I have said that he's been ineffective at getting people in the Senate to agree with his agenda. Regardless of the make up of the Senate, that is true. Also, It was a democratic majority in 2008 for two years.

He has not sponsered many laws that have became actual laws. That is evidence FOR my statement.

As for my expectations: if Sanders is the nominee, he gets my vote. He's got experience in government and I agree with a great many of his positions to various degrees. But when I compare him to Clinton, with her experience (and honestly very similar positions) I prefer Clinton.

@maporsche,
Do you know what "hypocritical" means? It's used when someone is hiding something, pulling his punches, or flatering someone. I say it as I see it. You're welcome to disagree but there's no hidden agenda.
