@Lash,
No. Because I'll help him carry it.

@RABEL222,
You must have googled it incorrectly, like when you wrongly googled Bernie's voting patern. Failures such as yours are frequent during election years. If you don't believe me, you own a computer.... Google it up.

I see everyone has been quite successful in changing Lash's mind. Well done for sticking at it. We all knew that advancing rational arguments would win the day eventually. (snark font)

Actually, research in cognitive science has demonstrated that a highly partisan or opinionated subject usually will, when presented with compelling evidence and rational arguments that stand against their position, become even more entrenched in his/her position. (See Drew Westen's The Political Brain).

Yes, that is rather depressing for a number of reasons. We'd prefer it if human response (for the highly partisan) wouldn't be that way because it makes them unavailable for productive discussion or even for considering quality evidence. Also, this fact about them provides a "rationale" for bad political agents to engender extreme partisanship in the electorate. And if we look at the rightwing media operations, we'll see that is just what they are doing and what they are aiming for.

@blatham,
Somehow I found your very cogent comment about the intractability of the political mind strangely comforting. Weird, what types of things will comfort me as I grow older. Perhaps it is a sort of much-needed tacit permission to cease forcibly impacting my skull against masonry bulkheads.

Kind thanks, sir.

@snood,
Cuts both ways though.

@Olivier5,
Not so much in this case.

I've been waiting for a rationale argument from #bernieorbust supporters, but none have been presented.

What I've been told instead is to "**** off"

@maporsche,
I've been waiting for a rational argument from the #hillaryorcry crowd too. Tic toc tic toc...

Edit: They are good at a few other things though:

- empty speculations, à la "What if Bernie was Godzila? Would you vote for him?"
- impatient rants, à la "I can't wait for these horrible horrible primaries to be over."
- defeatism and thinking inside the box, e.g.: "Congress will always be owned by the Republican party so why would anyone in his right mind vote for a reformer as president?"

@Olivier5,
What is the #hillaryorcry movement? I've never heard of a movement that says is Clinton is not the nominee they won't vote or would vote Republican. Is that what this movement is supposed to be?

@engineer,
I just invented the label. It's composed of those (generally quite angry) people who support Hillary for president and would positively hate to vote for Sanders if he ever won the primaries.

@engineer,
There was in 2008, however in this cycle, there isn't. Most people on A2k think Hillary is going to win but they actually like Bernie. I don't like as him as much as others but I will vote for him if he wins the primary.

@Olivier5,
There is not that much hate in the Hillary crowd as there is in the Bernie crowd. I would not even hate to vote for him if he wins, I will just think he won't be a good president but a whole lot better than any republican.

@Olivier5,
Have you ever met any? Just about everyone on A2K who supports Clinton is on record as willing to vote for Sanders if he wins.

Oh, so you don't know anybody here (because there aren't any), the label is your invention, and yet you've built up an argument against those people.

You know what logical fallacy that is don't you?

And you had the gall to accuse me of talking to my own sock puppets

@Olivier5,
Ouch! minus 4. Some #Hillaryorcry people are very very angry at me.

They think they represent rationality, while their leftist (and rightist) opponents evidently represent irrationality. A bit depressing but cute, when you think of it.

Yaaaaawaaweewewwwnnnnnn

Our argument to you was not the -3 (and who gives a **** about that anyway).

Our arguments are the 3-4 posts using our actual words. You know how those work right?

Is that why they constantly snide or insult him?

@maporsche,
Sure. You people are rational, after all. You don't lose time voting down posts, you write cogent analyses... devoid of snide, of petty in-crowd thinking and all of that.[/snark]

There are many around here, including you, who constantly bitch about a man whom you SAY you admire... It sounds very unconvincing.

What to watch for in Wisconsin primary

Quote:
Republicans will award all 18 delegates to their statewide winner, and three more to the winners in each of the state’s eight congressional districts. Check out who picks up pockets of delegates and where: Cruz is aiming to clean up in Milwaukee, where the Republican base is concentrated and where Trump has been hammered by conservative talk radio; John Kasich has been focusing on Madison; Trump is expected to do well in the north. On the Democratic side, with 86 delegates proportionally at stake on Tuesday, look for Sanders to show strength in Madison, a liberal college town. Clinton needs to do well with the diverse, urban voters of Milwaukee. That could leave the Democratic race to be decided elsewhere, so watch how the candidates do along the Minnesota border and in the Green Bay area.

Hm....one would think it wouldn't be so difficult for you to find a post where I've ever insulted the man then. Or maybe one from another poster, since there are so many.

Sockpuppets...coming from you...haha. I won't soon stop laughing at that one.
