I did mean to say that. I find it pretty ridiculous AND counter-productive how some posters are constantly feeling the need to express contempt at Sanders and pro-Sanders posters, as opposed to trying to take them seriously.

I really feel like I'm repeating myself, but the only "contempt" I see from Hillary supporters (and sometimes even from those not fully committed) is toward the scorched-earth attitude of the Bernie supporters who say they won't support the eventual democratic nominee if it's not Bernie. It's NOT contempt toward Bernie, his campaign, or his supporters. It's NOT dismissal of their views, or refusal to take them seriously. The two things can co-exist -liking Bernie and what he stands for - and believing it's insane to think we can afford not to support Hillary if she's the nominee.

@Blickers,
Some Bernie supporters, puh-lease, not the Bernie supporters. Bernie likers are not a monolith. Well, maybe the louder ones that are entirely anti Hillary, and who may even be in the minority of Bernie supporters overall, maybe they are their own small but chunky monolithic concrete block, very grating.

@ossobuco,
Here's a very good article by Barrett Holmes Pitner, along the same lines as the one you posted earlier. Check out the title:
Susan Sarandon and the Berniacs Who Wanna Watch the World Burn

@Olivier5,
You need to go back and reread this site. EVERY Clinton advocate has said that they would vote for Bernie if he was the candidate. Only the Bernie advocates have declared Bernie or I wont vote. Yes I know not all of them but a significant number that could, like Ralph Nader did in 2000, swing the election in Trumps favor.

@maporsche,
Clintons and Bernies political ideas are about 90% alike. The differance is that Hillary is truthful about what she can get done while Bernie is lying his ass off about being able to get free collage education, free medical care, and all the other crap he knows he cant get through a republican congress.

I mean you can Clearly see that anti-Clinton candidacy attacks outnumber anti-Bernie candidacy attacks 100-1 right?

Not sure what your metric is. By nb of posts, your ratio is way off. It's pretty even, 'sfar i can tell.

@Olivier5,
You must be wearing blinders!

Where are the "I will never vote for Bernie Sanders" threads. Or the dozens and dozens of anti-Bernie articles being posted.

Show me a couple of examples if you can find any.
All I need to do is look through the last 50 posts by Lash and Edgarblythe and I can probably throw 20 links out there.

@maporsche,
All she has to do is get in the Hot Tub Time Machine and live her life over again in an incredibly different way!

LOL. Hillary Clinton...capture Bernie Sanders' allure... The funniest thing I've seen today.

Maybe do her hair differently...? LOL. Oy jeez.

@Blickers,
Are you unaware of how hawkish Hillary Clinton is? Do you know she - Mrs. Bring The To Heel - championed the most oppressive social laws Clinton pushed through? Who NEEDS Republicans when you have a Clinton?

@snood,
I just read it, a second sharp well written article by Barrett Holmes Pitner. I'll post the link again -- it's a little longer than the first one, though not by much, and equally thoughtful as Michele Goldberg's was.

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/03/29/susan-sarandon-and-the-berniacs-who-wanna-watch-the-world-burn.html

I'll add that I'm more comfortable with the word "Berniacs"while I don't like "Bernie supporters" being shellacked with one brush. Apparently there are 66% percent of his supporters that will vote for Hillary if she is the Nominee, in today's news.

@maporsche,
A little story... Last night in bed, I was scrolling through A2K and saw Snood's question. I wanted to engage his question, but on my phone, trying to parse quotes is impossible. I almost got up to fire up my laptop, but made myself get some sleep. I have a demanding job, and it starts early.

When I got home from work, I ran through, notably your, posts after Snood's -- and set my jaw at your ridiculous assumption that somehow you are in any position to call me on the carpet about my goddamn vote - and cooled on the idea of devoting any of my energy or effort in explaining my reasons for my vote.

Who in the **** do you think you are?

So, **** any and everyone who think somehow they are in a position to harangue me about my goddamn vote.

I hope your liver shrivels as you languish in your own personal purgatory in the absence of my explanation.

Really.

Shrivel.

My country is an oligarchy controlled by the wealthiest among us, and they could not do it without journalists and politicians on their payrolls. The Clinton Machine is the most powerful player in this disgusting perversion of my country, and I would cut my arm off before pulling a lever to strengthen it.

Period.

I do my part in this world on a daily basis to improve the lives and even the playing field for traditionally underserved people. Believe it - don't believe it. I don't care.

But FYI - I feel *NO* guilt to cast my vote according to my personal conscience.

And Snood - I'm schizophrenic because I won't vote the way you want me to? You guys need to get out more.

@Lash,
Cool story, but that didn't answer his question (in fact, it sort of supports my paraphrase [shrug]).

It's here, if you want to take a stab.

@Lash,
No, oh intellectually dishonest one. You are not schizophrenia because you don't vote like I want. You're schizophrenia if you say you're concerned about the dispossessed but don't care if Trump or Cruz is president.

@snood,
No. YOU are wrong and don't care for the dispossessed and poor. ANYone who votes for Clinton prefers blacks in prison and a fracked-up environment for all of us.

Why do you hate the poor and Mother Earth?

You are clearly schizophrenic and a racist.

Prove you aren't by voting for Bernie.

(and yes. It sounds just as stupid when you say it.)

@Lash,
If you vote for Hillary, it means you want black people in Full Time jobs. During Bill Clinton's two terms, Full Time jobs increased for all races 16.7%. Full Time jobs for blacks,however, increased 29.7%

When Bush II came in, for his two terms Full Time jobs for the general population increased a mere 0.3%. For Bush II's two terms, Full Time jobs didn't increase at all. They declined 1.9%.

Full Time jobs under Clinton, all races:
1993 Q1: 96.528 Million Full Time jobs
2001 Q1: 112.654 Million Full Time jobs
Result: Increase of 16.7%

Full Time jobs under Clinton, blacks:
1993 Q1: 9.954 Million Full Time jobs
2001 Q1: 12.912 Million Full Time jobs
Result: Increase of 29.7

Full Time jobs abounded, but blacks benefitted most of all from all the Full Time jobs, (16 Million Full Time jobs total), that were gained during Bill Clinton's presidency.

Blickers, I swear if I could hold your head under water, based on your nutty repetitive "jobs postings," I'd do it. Never meet me near a body of water.
