It means to bring into public view things that are normally private, usually also implying that it should be private. That does not apply here, because everything I have said has been in public threads. That idiom would have only worked if you were to know of something that I had till now only said in PM's, but I was provoked into saying it publicly in this thread. You completely misused it.
And furthermore, I make no effort to keep my views on the down low, my entire purpose at A2K is to debate ideas, I always state my opinions as openly and as fully as possible, which is another way that your use of this idiom is a fail.
If your point was to try to look ignorant you did a great job.
