Your article describes a fully manmade process, like nano mechanics, sure it's interesting but certainly not life.
that's the whole point. We already know about such things as hex-deoxy-nucleotides or ribozymes in nature (They stimulate replication and can be traced to a specific 20-23 atom molecule.
ribozymes and simple deoxy0nucleotides can ASSEMBLE, ligate, and cleave. Thir discovery was the basis for "RNA world" preaching.
Of course its not developed as a strong theory but its been a start point since the early 80's.

We create it in the lab, then try to duplicate it under field conditions.
Who knows, it may be a "warm little pond" with a clay substrate in a reducing environment.

SCience doesn't have its mind made up like you. It searches for "POSSIBILITIES"
However, all this is novice but its not evolution Thumby.

I never made any such claim that the creator of our DNA was invisible. He is just long gone, but still creating as his creation was the DNA code of evolution.

The great irony of your position is that it only postpones the inevitable. Let's say life didn't start until scientist Joe Smith created entirely synthetic DNA in his lab in 2014. He encases it in an artificial egg sac made on a 3D printer and filled with nutrients. It splits, grows and life begins. The question remains, where did Joe Smith come from? Even if your god were a genetic engineer from 10,000 BC as your brethren try to convince you, you'd still have to conclude that your god had to evolve from a chemical soup over billions of years in order to do that genetic engineering in 10,000 BC. In geologic time, that changes nothing, just the tiniest of blips on the timeline.

Good read. Maybe something like that actually happened some 2 billions years ago...

@farmerman,
No replication is described by what you posted, only mathematical/chemical order.

@FBM,
Prebiotic molecules can be demonstrated to be real, only after they form life. All else is theory, and you can have a theory of anything you wish. This does not make anything reality however.

That's playing with words. In the context of this discussion, "prebiotic molecules" means "simple biochemicals produced a-biologically in certain conditions, and which COULD have been at the origin of life". In other words, by using this word 'prebiotic', nobody is saying that the theory of a natural emergence of life is already proven.

@Olivier5,
There is no word play, as iron is biologic. So does that mean that the core of the Earth is prebiotic, since iron is present.

@DNA Thumbs drive,
he said molecules, not elements. carbon makes up most all organic molecules, but as an element its not necessarily organic

After they form life, they're not prebiotic anymore. Derp. You look at RNA or DNA and you see uracil, guanine, etc. You separate the from each other and they're now prebiotic molecules. When I walk through a supermarket and see bacon, lettuce and tomatoes, I know that they are pre-BLT ingredients.

The stupider your statments, the more I regard you as an attention-whoring Poe. It's funny, sorta, yeah, but you need more tricks. The strawman and god of the gaps angles just get old after a while. Even the real creationists have more tricks than that.

@FBM,
No non living molecule has ever come to life, without having been incorporated into DNA by an already living organism.

All you gotta do is offer up some evidence to support your claims, Poe. http://i1330.photobucket.com/albums/w561/hapkido1996/37_zps3ae50676.gif

@FBM,
Actually, I do not need offer proof of spontaneous generation of life, however for your part, if you could offer this evidence that life can come from lifelessness, you would be a very heralded and important person. Instead of what you are now.

I've already provided the leading hypotheses (plural) and evidence. All you gotta do is come up with something better. Like evidence for that invisible god.

That said, I know you've got nothing but more attention-whoring, so I'm pretty much done interacting with you. Boring, redundant and unproductive. It would be different if you were at least an entertaining Poe, but... http://i1330.photobucket.com/albums/w561/hapkido1996/37_zps3ae50676.gif

Here it is. Photographic proof. Life from nothing. Empty hat.... rabbit appears. Can't argue with that.

@Banana Breath,
I've got more compelling proof if ID:

It takes 5 minutes to boil grits, 5 minutes to make cheese toast, and 5 minutes to fry up bacon and eggs the way I like them. Everything is ready at the same time. Therefore, god! Not only does god exist, he's a southerner! Yeehaw, y'all!

Is that traditional grits? or fast-cooking grits?
I don't think any god worth his salt would be satisfied with fast-cooking grits.

No self-respecting southerner would use quick grits. Harrumph!
