Do you know that means "I am a donut?"
That's what I heard.......
He he he. That Kennedy fella. What a joker.
Ah, I calmed down, against my expectations, when I quit. It was sort of a surprise benny, weird since I didn't quit for years before since I didn't want to lose the calming of cigs.
But I am not here to convince anyone. Least of all me.
If you do quit, let me throw ping pong balls at you to grab your attention, there is a world beyond. Thassit, no lecture.
I agree with the calming effect, though it seemed to take some time to become evident after I quit. I still reached for a cigg in times of stress for a while, but my general stress levels reduced.

I also found that some things I thought were stress, no longer existed
Interesting. I THINK I'm using them to calm myself, but I'll actually be calmer without them?
Besides after a meal, my biggest cig "crutch" is when I need to think. I'm working on a couple of projects and when I get a new idea or angle I leave the computer and think it through / expand on the possibilities of the idea while I smoke. By the end of the cig I usually have a better map of the direction the idea might go.
Might have to sub that with a walk on the treadmill behind me, or something. Any ideas?
I'll calm you honey. Out of love.
Squinney,

Me too - it's when I have "big ideas" that I want to sort out in my head that I crave them them most.
O'Bill, I wish you luck. As a heavy smoker for almost 25 yrs now, I too, want to quit. But not yet.. I wanna finish my 25 yrs and say "I've paid enuff friggin' taxes!!!!", then I'll do all I can to quit, but not today or on june 11th.
Best of wishes to squinney and OCCOM BILL!
Hacking cough, congestion, stuffy nose... I might have to quit before June 11.
Jer - Maybe we need to stop thinking for a while?
please quit my love, I want to go before you do, not after. I'd be a lost bear without you.
I should do it, too, I know it.
louder, and mean it - no 'should';
'will'
I'm very seriously thinking about it, Bill.
